Is It Possible To Pass/ Clean Your System For Childbirth Drug Screening

My girl is going into labor any day and worried about testing positive for opiates. Is there any way to speed up the process of cleaning her system. I'm just trying to ease her mind so please any factual info helps

My friend is due to have her baby next week and trying to clean her and baby system from crystal meth before she goes in2 labor is there anyway to help her cause she's not a heavy user and don't want her baby tooking from her cause the baby has drug in their system please tell me what she can do or use

Piggey did u ever find out if your friend came out dirty or not. I am 34 weeks and I am not a heavy user neither. But I did slip up and did a little bit yesterday. Can u help me out with any info

Maybe you should be a responsible adult and don't screw up your child bc you don't want to grow up and change for someone that is dependent on you and you alone smh please don't reproduce anymore

Sorry to hear this. If I were her I would just be honest about taking opiates. It will be obvious too, to the MD's RN's when the baby goes into opiate withdrawals. They may need to keep the baby a few days to help it go through withdrawals rather home the next day. It's also good to tell them so they can be prepared if the baby doesn't wake and respond appropriately after birth. You don't want them to make a mistake and think it could be something else like an infection. (MD/RN thinks, hm lets see, the Mom was negative for opiates so the baby must have some other problem going on!). They are wise to this of course, but you don't want to put the risk there if you can at all help it. It's a strong, wise, and caring parent that sacrifices themselves to keep a child safe and given the best care. Plus, if she isn't ready to go into treatment nobody can force your wife. They can take away meds if they've been prescribed. If they are from the street, the best choice is recovery but again no one can force someone to take care of themselves. In the end it's her body and her decision to get healthy for her newborn and of course for you and herself. I'd put the concern and focus on the baby rather than trying to set your dear wife's mind at ease. It's a tough world, believe me I know. But we have to make choices all along the way. You guys know what to do, I don't need to tell you any more.
