CHLORD/CLIDI CAP 5-2.5MG ## My doctor prescribed librax for a stomach problem, but my insurance company substituted chlord/clidi. What is the difference? Is it generic? ## Yes, this is just the generic, so it is named for the active ingredients, the name Librax is a proprietary brand name. ## BEWARE! - CHLORD/CLIDI CAP 5-2.5MG (LIBRAX) Will show positive for Benzodiazepine (Benzos). Took one of my wife's stomach pills a day or two before a pre-employment screen and the test returned a positive for Benzos. ## did you get the job? ## I have been prescribed this medication for many years; have tried going without and had disasterious results. Now my drug prescriber has notified me that the 3 month supply is going from $71.11 to over $949.49 for 3 months. Needless to say I will no longe...

How long does this drug stay in your system? I was given 2 10mg pills in the e.r. They didn't work for pain, so I was then given a script for norcos. How long should I wait in-between pills? ## Bentyl contains the active ingredient Dicyclomine, it is used to help with GI spasms and cramping, for conditions such as IBS. However, it is not a narcotic and will not treat pain as a narcotic does. That means that the Norco, which contains Acetaminophen and the narcotic Hydrocodone, can be used whenever you need to use it, for the pain, as long as you don't take more of it or take it more frequently than the doctor directed. It may cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. ## How long does it take for Bentyl to get out of your system? I need to take p...

I just started taking Bentyl for diarrhea, but I have been taking Xanax for anxiety. Now I'm feeling very dizzy. Should I stop Xanax? ## Hello Ern, I'll start by giving some helpful advice. Any time that you are taking prescription medication it is a good idea to contact your doctor prior to taking anything else, even if it is over the counter medication for something that may seem rather urgent. According to the cvs drug interaction checker this combination of medication may increase the sedative properties. This is a moderate drug interaction and shouldn't be cause for a great concern generally but I don't know your entire health history or medical status. Since the Xanax is the prescription medication I would suggest you don't stop taking that medication and inste...

I have been on Bentyl for about 6 weeks and the constipation is so bad that I have had to take laxatives. I'm seriously thinking of not taking it anymore. ## Hello, Kathy! How are you doing? Has there been any change? Constipation is not a common side effect of this medication, it is actually listed by the FDA as being a very rare one. Have you consulted your medical provider? You may need to try a different medication, this one may not be right for you. Has anyone else experienced this while taking Bentyl? ## I was on bentyl off & on for about four years now & ive been having vision issues . I went to ER for dizziness, light headness & anxiety , blurred vision & headaches . I had MRI done everything was normal but the Dr. informed me that these were serious side eff...

Round light blue pill blank on one side and 555 on the top 126 on the bottom of the other side no score ## Hello, Todd! How are you? Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find an identification for this, yet. They seem to be old tablets that are no longer manufactured, as from other posts I've found they were said to be found in the homes of elderly deceased relatives. Thus finding an ID may be a bit difficult. However, I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else recognize these tablets? ## I found a few of these mixed in with some 10mg Dicyclomine Capsules after my mom died. This DOES NOT constitute a definite identification because I can't find them listed anywhere else either, but at least it's a place to start.

Anyone else? ## Hi, I have been taking Bentyl or Dicyclomine (same medicine) for 4 years I have not experienced that. I would tell your doctor. It might be too strong. It serves me well. Please tell them right away. ## Hello SLH, I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing these issues. I have been a pharmacist for 45 years and remember when this medication retailed for twenty dollars for 100 tablets, now one thousand dollars. Something is really wrong here. There's no reason for such an over price for this medicine. Seems like collusion between the FDA and big pharma to ripoff the patient. Don't trust either one. Just another example of greedy pharma. ## A new company has bought out the original mfg. This company thinks it can rip people off by charging ten dollars a pill. Don't let them do this to you. Write your congressman and let them know what this drug company is doing. They prey on very sick people with no care for the patient. ## I have been successfully using Donnatal grape elixir for decades for static esophogeal spasm, and have not been able to ...

In 2015 while pregnant with twins I started having severe pain mid chest right below my bra line. Being a high risk pregnancy I had weekly sonograms and I mentioned the pain to the doctor thinking it was normal due to my rapidly growing abdomen he had the tech take a look. My gallbladder was completely FULL of stones. I had no option for surgery due to being pregnant. Due to complete placenta previa I knew I was going to have to have a c-section. I had an attack one night and well I really hate hospitals but my dog was extremely in my face he would lick my feet and touch his nose to my forehead. My husband was deployed and I knew I was having an attack but I would get through it. My fur boy was relentless being extremely vocal and knowing I had 2 human beings in my body I went to the ER...

Can Spasmo Proxyvon be used for pain relief in Prostate area for a man of 47 yrs age? ## Spasmo Proxyvon contains: dicyclomine hydrochloride 10 mg + acetaminophen 400 mg + propoxyphene napsylate 100 mg. The combination of these creates a very mild narcotic pain killer. If you do have pain in the prostate area, I would honestly consider diagnosing the underlying cause of this inflammation/pain to better decide how to treat it instead of covering up the pain temporarily. ## substitute for spamo proxyvon or other same kind of medicines. ## Yes, it can used to relieve pain in any area or any parts of the body. But, consumptions of excessive medicine can cause overdose or death. If you took an average dose it can even cure some minor and critical pain forever.

prescription ## Hello, I would like to start by stating that this medicine is not manufactured in the United States. From what I was able to understand this medication is manufactured in Mexico by Carnot Laboratories. Reportedly Libertrim Trimebutina comes in two different pill types. One contains the active ingredients trimebutina 100mg and simeticona 37.50 mg while the other contains trimebutina 200mg and simeticona 75mg. This medicine is reported by the manufacturer to be used for treating irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Unfortunately I am not able to decipher a lot of the content on the manufacturer's website as I am not that fluent in spanish. Hopefully the information I have provided is useful. Have a great day.

diclopamine ## I have not seen any information in my research on a substance called Diclopamine and wonder if it may be a misspelling for Dicyclomine or Cyclopamine? Dicyclomine is most commonly known for treating irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) It works by relieving muscle spasms in the G.I. tract by blocking the activity of a certain natural substance in the body. Drug Class: anticholinergics Cyclopamine is a naturally occurring chemical that belongs in the family of steroidal alkaloids. According to NIH.gov, Cyclopamine has both teratogenic and antitumor activities. However, on a cautionary note, it has also been stated that Cyclopamine is a teratogen isolated from the corn lily (Veratrum californicum) that causes fatal birth defects. I hope this info helps!

I have been using Spasmo Proxyvon from two years and now i want leave it but due to it's side effect i am unable to do so. Therefore i would be grateful if any one has the other alternative. ## Spasmo Proxyvon contains the active ingredients Dicyclomine, Acetaminophen and Propoxyphene, and this last one is a mild narcotic and can be addicting. It has been pulled from the market in most countries, due to the risk it causes of cardiac dangers. However, due to that and the fact that you have been taking it for so long, your best chance for stopping this medication is probably to seek medical assistance from a doctor. What is the closest equivalent to Trimebutine in the US? I have a close friend that was stabilized and had excellent results with Trimebutine. However he can't find it in Egypt anymore...
