PLEASE, PLEASE, someone help! I have a 10 yr old daughter who has been diagnosed with ADD and they want to put her on this medication. I am SO TORN and concerned about drugging my child at such a young age, but also don't want her to suffer thru her childhood! She is NOT ADHD, but ADD. ANY experiences please let me know. THANKS!

I understand your concerns, I would not have liked the idea of putting my son on a long-term medication at such a young age, either.

However, one thing you do have to remember is that Intuniv is a different class of medication, it is not a stimulant that used Amphetamines like Adderall or some of the others.

It is a norephinephrine agonist, so it works much differently.

You can read more on it here:

Does anyone else have experience using this medication?

Thank you so kindly for responding! We have yet to go back to the pyschiatrist as I have been putting it off as long as possible. Thank you for the link for info as well. I will definitely utilize the words that you chose to describe the medication for research purposes. Thanks again, it is very appreciated :)
