Interesting Viibryd Experience Thus Far.

Updated

Interesting side effects just on the first week on 10mg. Tonight I will be starting the 20mg.

In the past couple of nights I've had almost hallucinations. The shadows in the room at night seem to be moving when there is nothing that could be causing them to move in the room. I'd close my eyes because the moving shadow business was a little too much for me to handle and when I did that I saw like crazy lines and junk, hard to explain.

The following day (today). I've felt extreme anxiety. Had kind of a dejavu moment and have been super paranoid all day. Getting kind of zappy tingly feelings on the top of my skull which feels pretty weird. As far as mood goes? I don't know. It just feels odd, like different. No better, no worse but different.

The GI side effects the first night kind of were unpleasant but that only lasted one day. Kind of worried about taking the 20 tonight but we'll see how that goes.

Anyone else have any weird strange kind of side effects with taking this in the first few weeks?

Oh, PS. I take 100mg of Lamictal a day too. 50 in the morning and 50 at night.

How are you doing on the higher dose?

Those symptoms sound kind of unusual, they really aren't what I'd call typical side effects and I really think you should mention them to your doctor, as soon as possible, just to be on the safe side.

There is always a chance of medications like this causing the opposite of their intended effect, so you have to be careful.

It's toned down a bit. I clench my jaw a lot and somehow bit my tongue pretty hard in my sleep. Feel nauseated in the mornings but all that other weird junk has gone away.

This will be I believe my third or fourth day on the 20. So far so good I guess.

Be careful as far as the tingly stuff on your scalp. I was almost at end of week 5 when I started experiencing, for lack of a better term, ZAPS to my brain! It only happened when trying to fall asleep and scared the crap out of me. Weren't exactly painful, but jolting! Then a few days later woke up and sobbed for most of the day. Brain also felt "loose" in my head. Dr got me off of it pretty quickly and those symptoms have disappeared. Thank God! Felt like I was losing it... good luck.
