I have taken all sumatriptans ever made probably with Dr. reddys being used currently. I have taken imitrex since it was invented and still am in awe of its effectiveness. Yesterday I opened a box of two prefilled auto injectors with the usual results. So today I took the second and shot and within ten minutes began itching with welts and swelling. One hand was blueish with nausea/vomiting and abdominal cramping. There was absolutely nothing different than 100 other times. It was bad enough I will be concerned to take it. Has this happened to anyone else? ## I am very sorry about what you've experienced. However, our bodies do change with time, so such an experience is entirely plausible, according to NIH reports, though only a medical professional can give you a definitive answer a...

Experience awful migaine attacks. I have been prescribed 50mg sumatriptan pills and 20mg nasal spray would these be okay to take together ## Hello, Lou! How are you? I'm very sorry about the migraines! Yes, as long as your doctor has instructed you to use them together. The maximum oral dose is 200mgs in 24 hours and 40mgs for the nasal spray, so you likely shouldn't exceed 200mgs a day in total, unless your doctor has said otherwise. The FDA lists its typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, vertigo, throat irritation and chest discomfort. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hello, Just started on imitrex nasal spray 2 days ago, had to use 2nd dose at exactly the 2 hour mark the first night ('alarm clock headache' at 5am). Used it tonight and an hour later vomited, felt a little better, but still have lingering headache. Is this all normal? As it is the weekend, cannot verify with my PMD, and just want to make sure I am taking it properly - should I be lying down, head upright? Any better way of administration? And is it ok that I am taking advil/excedrin migraine along with it when I feel it is not working? ## Hello, Kimg! How are you? Unless you've been specifically instructed otherwise, such sprays should always be used while sitting or standing upright. The nausea, vomiting and mild headache can all be side effects of Imitrex, along with diz...

I found half a pill and I can not figure out with it is. It is a white, capsule shaped pill. The half that I have has the letters IM underlined on one side and the number 2 on the other side. I tried the pill identifier sites but I do not know the rest of the word or what follows the IM on the top side. Please help me if you can, thanks! ## I've tried several searches since I first say your post, but none of my ideas panned out into possible matches. Without knowing the rest of the imprint, it's difficult to find an identification for this. My first through was Imitrex, due to the IM, but there aren't any Imitrex pills that match this shape and description. Learn more Imitrex details here. Does anyone else have any ideas?

I recently went to the ER with a hemiplegic migraine. I have inherited these from my Grandmother and was diagnosed 3 years ago after suffering horrible headaches since my youth.I use tramadol and fioricet to control them and usually end up once a year in ER for shot of Nubane(SP) I told the ER Dr I could not have Imitrex as I had allergic reactions in the past. She gave me the shot anyway. I was on the couch for 2 weeks after the shot unable to walk talk or eat. I returned to work as I had no more vacation or sick time left. I worked a full week and then was put on medical leave by my supervisor. There were times I could not comprehend (I am a medical secretary in Physical therapy dept at the same hospital where shot was given) where I was or what I was there for. I also wet my pants, h...
