I take 800MG MS-Contin per day for cancer pain. Going to get an intrathecal pain pump next month. How long will I need to continue weaning off the MS-Contin before my body stops wanting it?

why dont u be smart and not take morphine unless your dr prescribes it. duh. then u wouldnt have to worry about whether or not you're gonna pass a drug test. common sense. just sayin

Well I would really like to find out...that when u get pee tested...for drugs can they tell what kind your on like percocet or morphine ...or just if your on opiates or benzo"s ....I have been told that they can tell if your on lortabs or morphen percocets...and I have been told that they just test to see if there are any opiates or benzo's can someone please give me the right answer...thank u

My doc screens me by Heine routinely and has been able to detect morphine in my system up to 2months of taking it. And I take 10 Mg lortabs 3x daily and he has detected codeine in it up to 1 month out. Yes they can tell the diff. Between portable and percent. Since percs.lAre oxycodone not hydrocodone. My doc doesn't give me enough to deal with my pain. Hard to find someone in my area. Florida go figure ... some tests are very sensitive so beware.

For all these morphine questions, it does ususlly take 5-7 days to not show in a tox. However, if it's a controlled release tab it takes much longer. Could be as much as 2 wks. So you gotta know what your taking.

Why would you take one of your mom's pills? What if she runs out and needs that pill? I would be so upset if one of my family ever took any of my meds that they would never set foot in my house again. That is a stupid and cruel thing to do!

Wow God bless you, I'm in my 40's and I had a massive heart attack this past June and had to have Copernicus heart surgery had a quadruple bypass it apparently was a life saving decision to cut me open from my collar bone to my belly button, strange I didn't even know I was having a heart attack I just didn't feel good then the Surgeon had told me that I went into a 100% shock I feel for You with having cancer. I was drinking a casein a half of Pepsi a day almost a case of redbull and smoking just about two packs of Marlboro a day that's what caused it. I'm on 30mg time released morphine one every 12 hours, but lately I been having to take two because of the pain in my chest were they cut me open I'm also all wired now in my chest. The Surgeon tells me, I have yet begun to feel the pain......the morphine just isn't working could someone please tell me of any other paid Med that just might work?? No oxycontin for me I'm just way to sensitive for that pain Med it makes me very ill.. maybe I could tell my doctor of another pain Med. Gezzzzz I have never been on here before, I'm just looking for advice, all of you ask for interesting questions (????) And the answer are so very straight forward. Thank-you. :) :)

I am used to taking 30mg oxycodone....I ran out and I have 15mg....morphine ...white round .....how much can I take without it being dangerous

They not only can tell what kind of drug it is but they can also tell what ratio you have taken compared to what they have prescribed. Urine test, 3 to 4 days. Hair, a H...of a long time.
