I Have Taken For One Week

I was just diagnosed as hiv positive and went to an HIV specialist who has prescribed Atripla. My viral load was high and cd4 count at something like 220k. I have had some side affects, but not too intolerable. I am dizzy in the am. Can I expect more side effects or would I have had them by now.

2 weeks on Atripla now, and I have not experienced the weird dreams that I was warned about. I do get a bit dizzy but since I take the pill at night, that does not matter - in fact it's a relaxing high. In a couple of days I will get my next blood test, and I'm hoping that the T's and viral load will be going in the right direction! I'm almost apprehensive, because I have not experienced any of the dire side effects that I have read about.

Medications can affect everyone differently, some people may experience tons fo side effects, some people experience none of them, it all depends on how your body reacts to it.

Atripia contains the active ingredients Tenofovir, Emtricitiabine and Efavirenz and is used to treat HIV.

Common side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, stomach pain and skin discoloration.

I am going on week 2 and while I already had vivid dream I do think they have subsided a bit while on Atripla. I go in next week Tues to have some tests done. My viral load wasn't too high but the t cells were at 125. VERY LOW.

I've been taking it for a few months and my side effect are min to none, so blessed as I've read many side effect. I can have strang to funny to even awful dreams and waking I'm dizzy also when I take it I can't stay awake for more then 30 min and if I do I feel dizzy but a drunk woozy feeling. Wish you the best

Hi I have been on atripla for over 5 years now and until only last year when I started to feel "funny"
Now every day I get dizzy or as I call it fuzzy
I don't feel stable on my feet and I come across in hot and cold sweats. I get like a tingling sensation all over which goes to my head and makes me feel sick

Like I say this is after already take my mess for over 5 years with no great problem

Does anyone else experience this ?
