Tramadol is a mild opioid, so anything equivalent that you could try to replace it with would also carry the risk of being habit forming.

Have you sought medical help for this issue?

Usually, a slow taper is needed to help prevent the worst of the withdrawal symptoms, which may include nausea, fever, chills, diarrhea, depression, insomnia and rebound pain.

Tramadol is not mild in any form or fashion. Dosed out on 50 mg is huge, make no mistakes. You can see this because doctors say nothing regarding its down sides. They've pretty much got you. I have been on every form of opioid and taken myself off. I measured every conceivable scenario. When i did my time on tramadol 300 mg day for 90 days it was worse than my stint on H. 1 gram per day for 90 days. This is because it is a STRONG opioid and also impacts ssri. By far my worst experience was stopping s.s.r.i's... That being said, stopping these drugs is simple ..you just cant see it that way yet and TRUST ME i understand. I finally learned what was really going on. Now that i know i can very easily pull anyone out at any dose for any duration and on any drug. And without suffering, in fact it will be exhilarating. Sorry for grammar. Anyone interested in escaping ask here. {edited for privacy}.

Tramadol is very strong pain killer which can be addictive and also lead to some negative side-effects. But then you should know that on which ever medication you are it should be according to doctor prescription and direction no matter how much pain you going through. Our doctor knows more about our health and whether to increase or decrease the dosage than us. Best thing is you consult your doctor and share your problem with him.

You just wrong! It’s not STRONG opioid! It’s binding to mu receptors is weak and can be replaced by more potent and powerful mu receptor opioid agonists such as Oxycodone and Morphine. It doesn’t not have SSRI properties either it has NRI - or norepinephrine reuptake inhibiting NO SEROTONIN NO SELECTIVE SEROTONIN involved OK??? So stop ?? making stuff up

I was on the same ridiculous amount for a very long time. (It was easily obtainable from the internet at the time, before it was finally recognized as an opioid.) I am very proud of the fact that I was able to get off the stuff. Expect some crazy side effects. Not like going off of any other opioid. I swelled something horrible for several months, gaining 30 pounds. Fortunately, a low-carb keto diet with a supplement called Alpha Lipoic Acid finally took care of that. But, to get off the crap, here's what you do. Stock up on dextromethorphan. Yep, cough medicine. Get the pills. (Often you can get them at the Dollar Tree.) Take as few as you can, but don't be hard on yourself if it takes 6 to make the "wah-wahs" in your head stop. Remember, though, these can, just like tramadol, cause breathing difficulties. Go slowly. See what works. It will help immensely, I promise. Now, and you're going to need this...stock up on Immodium. Yep, the anti-diarrheal. You'll need it for that, of course. Opiate withdrawal always involves that fun side effect. But, Immodium works by blocking MORPHINE receptors in your gut. Yep. You have morphine receptors in your gut, so it will help in so many ways, including rebound pain. I always kept some Pepto pills on hand as well for the nausea. Expect to puke a bit. But, really, that part was nothing like coming off Lortabs had been. The problem, for me at least, and of course I took way too much tramadol for way too long, AND did not know these opioid withdrawal tricks at the time I was taking 15 Lortabs a day... was that, even though Lortab withdrawal was intense, it was fairly short-lived. Buckle down. Tramadol takes longer to come off of (for me, anyway) but these hacks will get you through it sooooo much easier than you might believe. There is actually a lot of info on opiate withdrawal using the dex and Immodium method. I was fortunately able to find both at my local dollar store. Oh, be prepared, that cough medicine can make you flush beet red, so go slow until you find what works. And don't forget the Pepto for nausea. Neither of the other two help that effect. In fact, the cough medicine can make it worse. (Had to grab a few trash cans during the process, myself...) Good Luck and God Bless.

Re: THE CAVE MAN (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

I read your message on this board. I would be interested to know what you offer. I've been taking Tramadol 300mg a day for about 7 and a half years. I've tried kratom, brahmi, SAMe, no luck with those. Thanks.
