I have been on Tramadol for at least 9 years now, I am SEVERELY ALLERGIC TO NSAIDS, and do not like most Narcotic pain meds as they make me feel "yucky". They just took Tramadol off of the $4 list at wal-mart, and Tramadol is expensive, being allergic to NSAIDS is causing major problems in getting pain relief for me, what else can I take for pain that is not an NSAID, and inexpensive????

Hi Mindy,

In the link below you can view a chart of prescription and non prescription pain medications ranked from weak to strong. You can use this chart to determine what other options you have as far as switching over to a stronger or less expensive medication (odds are though, if you want something higher up on this list, it will likely be more expensive):

You may also want to talk to your doctor to see which one of those drugs is best suited for your condition; and ask him about average costs for each one your interested in trying.

Hope this helps!
