Hi. My prolactin is 30.52 ng/ml. As per my laboratory reports, a normal prolactin range is 3.8 ng/ml to 23 ng/ml. My doctor has advised me to take the brotin 2.5 mg tab twice a day. Should I continue? ## My prolactin level is also high and I took cabergoline for eight weeks and felt much better with the medicine. Been on bromergon for 3month nw due to high prolactin and infertility 2weeks ago I notice I get too hungry can I be pregnant or is it bromergon side effect. ## (1) Pls I have been having itch all over my left breast since early 2017 and April 2018 it started discharging milk, I did a test and my prolacting Was high, my doc prescribe bromergon which I took and after three weeks milk discharge stopped. But right now my left breast itchies me a lot and my doc just prescribed lotatadine for me which am on. Pls what do you think is causing high the lactating and why is my breast itching me?? I am 34 yrs old and I have been trying to conceive for 3 months without success. I noticed that one of my nipples leaks water on stimulation and I don't secret ovulation mucus during ovulation. Hi!! I am a 25 years old unmarried girl. I was diagnosed with pcod three months ago and am on pills. I have increased prolactin(38) for which I took cabergoline for eight weeks. Aftr stopping d cabergoline I started feeling pain in both my breasts. I usually have headache an the back of my head and feel dizzy. I also suffer from acidity and stomach ache. I also observe brown discharge sometimes. Please let me know if I am taking the right medicines and what to do with the breast ache and other problems. My periods are normal but I am fed up of brown spotting between the cycles.

I actually have an RX for this drug, Dostinex. However I'm afraid it is too expensive and I cannot take the generic one (does not work for me). ## Hello, Ann! How are you? I'm sorry, but at this time it's listed that the brand is not available. The only thing you can get are generics. If they don't work for you, then you should speak to your doctor about prescribing an alternative. ## Thank you. Was it available in the past? How much? Thank you ## Hi Marizette, Based on my research, there are no drug interactions listed between Parlodel and S-Adenosylmethionine (SAMe). So I can tell you that from what I've seen online, it seems like there shouldn't be any problems using the two together outside of the possibility of their own individual side effects occurring. Were both of these recommended to you by the same doctor?

I did a hormone test and the result came out that my prolactin is very high (47). But my problem is that my breast is not discharging any breast milk. I'm really confused because I don't know if that is really possible and my doc prescribed Parlodel for me. Can someone help me here, is this really possible for my prolactin to be that high and still no discharge of breast milk? I need someone to talk to me please. ## Hello, Angel! How are you? Yes, it can be high, without your producing breast milk. That is just one possible symptom of it. The most common side effects of this medication may include nausea, headaches and vomiting. How are you? Sorry about the problem that you're having. There are many things that could cause breast discharge, from cysts to cancer. Have you consulted a doctor? You need to do so to get to the root of what is causing the problem.

I was on carbergoline 0.25 twice weekly for one month and had terrible hot flashes . Now off of it for almost 2 weeks and the flashes continue. any one know why? ## Generally, a month is the length of time it takes for a medication to reach its full efficacy level in the body and, once that happens, it can take several weeks for it to fully process out and for any side effects to completely wear off. Does Lesuride OD increases Prolactin secretion ? ## Does the drug increase Prolactin level in woman ? I am living in Kharagpur ,West Bengal , India. ## The answer to your question is yes, Lesuride OD (Levosulpiride) is noted to increase prolactin plasma levels. There is actually a study that was done to demonstrate this side effect in patients taking Levosulpiride; in which case hyperprolactinemia developed in all patients, but it was normalized within a week, and symptoms for hyperprolactinemia were seen in only a few cases. I have been taking it for 11/2 yr am 71, I take it 4 times a week 0.5 and I have a lot of depression. I just hate to think about taking something for this. do you know of something besides cabergoline to take for a tumor on the pituitary gland. ## Have you consulted your doctor? This isn't a listed side effect of the Cabergoline, but there is never any way to know how any medication will affect any certain person that uses it. I was on Victoza and was losing weight and my sugar count was way down. Then I started having stomach pain and backaches, so my doctor took me off of it and put me on Cycloset. Even though I do feel better I'm starting to eat like I was before and am also gaining some weight back. Is this normal? I need to lose weight badly. I've been on it for one week. i was prescribed with Bromocriptine, but i'am confused beacuse i see there are two types: the capsules which are 5mg and the tablets 2.5 mg. my doctor prescribed me to take 1/2 tablet each night, but he means half of the 2.5 mg or the 5 mg one. Iam confused because maybe I think that he menat half of the capsule (5mg) which is the 2.5 tablet. Iam currently taking half of the 2.5 mg, is this right or I should take the 2.5 entirely, which is the half of the 5 mg?
