I need to know if hydrocodone ibuprofen expires? the prescription was filled 10/11/2010..will it be safe or effective?

To answer your question, yes these medications do have an expiration date, but it may be a lot farther away than you might expect. According to a Harvard Medical School family health article, except in rare cases (i.e. tetracycline), there is little chance of danger due to taking medications even up to 15 years beyond their expiration date.

I wouldn't be surprised if it lost some of its potency by now, but based on what I've read I think it would be perfectly fine to still use it as needed.
