I am super scared... I have taken a total of 17 hydrocodone 10/300 today. I read (afterward) that 90mg of hydrocone is lethal. I have tried to make myself vomit to get the last pills out, but I cant tell if what is coming up is a dissolved pill or just mucus. I dont want to die!! I dont know what to do. Going to a hospital is not an option, I have children sleeping & no one tp watch them.....

You need to get checked out for side effects of taking too much Acetaminophen/Tylenol. Anything over 4,000 in a 24 hr period can be toxic. You won't immediately feel the side effects of this, but you do need to get checked out.

To the user who started this thread, I strongly agree with post #2 in that you should get your levels checked to make sure you don't have an accumulation of toxins in your system; namely your liver with regards to Acetaminophen.

May I ask what compelled you to take 17 doses within a 24hr period? These definitely aren't M&M's by any means. I'm sorry if you may be depressed or going through a difficult time, but I have also read that 9 times the normal dose can be lethal for some individuals. So in my honest opinion, you are very lucky to still be here today after taking pretty much double that.

Activated Charcoal would probably be a wise thing to get your hands on if you're looking for something to help release the toxins at a quicker rate. They actually use it in hospitals and some poison control centers for those who overdose on their meds or get bitten by something venomous.

I hope your recovery is going well and pray that you'll be able to learn from this experience.

Hi I read your fairly recent event you have had with norco.,Vicodin,hydrocodone. Wow you really brought out feelings of fear & worry for you & I do not know you at all!! I believe this is a positive character attribute, & tend to always HOPE for the best because again as in many life's daily chaos This was quite a test I guess for myself & my 15 yr olds at home. Long long story short I have ovredosed on pills Atleast 10 times.,these meds are not to use to long, nor overusing it..like I'm one to talk is running through my head, however, I have been there & in the absolute worst case scenarios. I hope your doing ok & please contact me via {edited for privacy} so we can Atleast talk. Have a wonderful weekend, & try to stay safe : ) Winkyd

I just have had a chance to view these replys... I sincerely apologize. I have stopped the reckless behavior and saw the actual dangers of my actions. I feared for my children after this incident. I have resolved to not take that medication any longer. Clearly it is addictive & I fell prey to the drug. It actually scared me so much that I have not taken any since & feel just fine. My life is much more precious than a fleeting feeling. Thank you for your concerns, replies, & advice <3

StoopidGirl, the damage the tylenol did won't be obvious to you for a while. You need to see a dr and tell him what happened.

Re: madashell (# 11)

read the date 2013 ...... & what makes you think it was an actual legit script or if it was that that wasnt like 3 days worth ....... its behaviour like that which harms the true patiants that suffer from major chronic pain & get their meds cut from the new cdc issues

As someone who has recovered from an epic addiction to opiates. As in up to 50 30mg rocycontin a day, I can tell you your risk of overdose or other complications largely depends on your tolerance you have developed. I started off a a half a pill a day n as I said maxed of a few years later at up to 50 a day.

The other concern tobsdk yourself is "why" did you take that many. If you think you have a dependency or addiction please reach out to someone for help. It can be tough be well worth the effort to beat it.

I'm glad to help anyway I can.

Re: madashell (# 11)

Why? You have to have serious pain issues, a serious disease that causes severe pain and proof of such before you will ever get prescribed pain medication. I can't believe how so many people talk like these pills are for fun

You can’t go to a hospital because you have kids but you would rather they find you dead? Seriously?
