Go to another pharmacy/Dr/medical service & asked to be tested specifically for fentyl. Keep proof.

IF you are Positive its a dip-stick then it will show as an opiate.

If you only wear the patch for 8 hours and its a 72 hour 3 day patch how long will it stay in your system if you weigh less then 180 pounds

Fentanyl is an opiod, made from pethidine, meperidine ( Demerol)! Purely synthetic! But it will show up as an opiate, a drug containing opium!

I took my fentanyl patch off on a Friday saw the doctor on Wednesday said I wasn't positive for an opiate sent it out even though I saw it was positive for an opiate and said no fentanyl traces were there that was on a Wednesday I've been on the patches for at least 6 years and they cut me off I just feel like I'm dying I don't know what to do they sent it out to the lab the urine which came back saying there was no fentanyl in it

After being given a 12 panel Urine test at my Doctor I was given my meds, do doctors send the Urine to Labs for more testing?

I think saving one and having it on so you can physically show them you're wearing one if it comes back negative is a very smart move! That would defiantly prove without a doubt there's something going on with their test.

He won't tell you? Only kind of pain patch I know of is fentynol! Sure he isn't slippin it to u? Please watch out! It just takes little if ur not tolerant & don't know how high his dose is!

I agree I make my last which allows me to have extras so I don't have to save the used ones. However soon as they post, everyone will see how to keep these patches on and I Telya the really hard to kind a get off! In the winter wear on your arms, in the summer where on your upper buttocks to your hip sides. Best way to keep on the right temperature. So hopefully they'll post my post about how to keep these little buggers on, then you might be able to get ahead! Wear them for four days at a time at first and change that will give you almost an extra for every month. I wouldn't save the old ones, I wouldn't even keep them around, too dangerous for a stranger, animal, friend, to get into, possibly find or touch. Not to mention it's just downright dangerous. The abusers are the ones that I ruined it for those of us that really need it & don't abuse it! Doctors are getting really scared about having you on Fenton all, and they're all been told to get us down to hundred percent! Most doctors including my Pain Management don't even understand what that means. He sits with the calculator and tries to figure out what they're trying to tell him to do. I had already up to try to go down because I'd rather go down take the pain and go back up, then go up any higher along with the my Actiq, breakthrough Fentynol lozenger/lollipops. I couldn't handle any other medicines, couldn't digest them or they didn't work. I don't drink, I don't like to be high. Fenton all is right for me with in operable chronic pain, because I didn't feel high. And now with all goings-on about it, They're trying to take everyone off of it now! I don't know what I would do? I take myself down on meds., i'm known by my doctors do not want meds and turn them down all the time. That's all I'm on is those two things. Even though I'm offered muscle relaxer's and much more! So in my messages posted, no one should have a problem with them not sticking anymore. No problem getting a head that way, so if there ever is a catastrophe you won't have to worry about finding a doctor and help with the pain!

I want to help you with one thing, with the patch is falling off. I've been on them for 10 years. Use Irish spring deodorant drying soap on an area that you're going to place the patch. Make sure it's very dry before you do, use a hair dryer at most. You can buy Kendall brand which is the cheapest IV transparent film dressing and put them on top. They will stay on until you pull the hell out of them off and you will not lose a patch again. I make mine last an extra 12 to 24 hours and end up getting well ahead in case of any emergency out there, catastrophe, earthquake etc. Never wear your patches in the same spot twice, read the directions inside.

As far as how long it stays in your system, I have no idea. I just wanted to help you with the patch is falling off especially after a shower. Also if you're going to be in hot or humid weather, wear them on your upper buttocks. I too get tested every month at my pain management place and I'm not prescribed fentanyl, yet it has showed up in my system twice and I get kicked out the next time it happens. And ur whole morphine argument is stupid, since norcos have no morphine in them yet they too show up in urine. So please tell me how what u said compared to actual reality is true?

They are NOT the same. Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid. Completely different. I am a union employee and fentanyl NEVER shows up in my random drug tests.

I need to know how long after removing a 25 mcg fentanyl patch will it take to pass a urine test sent to a lab? I am prescribed norco 10mg but ran out because they have cut back on how many I get. I was getting 120, now getting only 90. I put on the patch to avoid withdrawal after being sick for 2 days. I may be drug tested and don't want to lose my script for norco if I am.

I need advice. My husband has been taking OxyContin 40mg 2xs daily for a broken femur- he has had 4 surgeries but it will not heal. He also almost died 2 years ago from endocarditis and had to have 2 valves replaced and his spleen removed. (It was from a tooth extraction) He is also diabetic. Needless to say, he takes a lot of different meds. This is what happened:

We are in the process of moving and my husband and my daughter went ahead of the family so he could begin his job. My daughter has been trained in how to ration his 17 pills he takes each day. She makes them up for each week. We have been caring for him this way for 6 years. They had to stay in a hotel for a few nights while waiting on our permanent residence. While they were both out, someone came into the room (I assume housekeeping) and stole 20 of his OxyContin. My daughter didn't notice until the following week when she went to make his meds. Knowing that the doctor would not give him a replacement, and having 10 days left without pain meds, I got some fentanyl patches from someone. He had taken them briefly a few years ago, but we opted not to use them because he likes to take hot baths to relieve his leg. His doctor had told me that he would need to come in for a urine test in September- 3 months away, so I knew we would be okay because we had no intention of using these except to get through this problem. I was getting ready to go pick up his script for OxyContin and the doctor called to say that for insurance purposes he has to come in now and do a urine test! We immediately took off the patch, but he had worn it for 2 days. It was the 100 dosage. Over the years he has actively gone down on his pain meds, taking much less than when we started, has lost 80 lbs, is working now and we have as a family worked so hard for his recovery. By doing this, I think I may have ruined our chances to finally be happy. It will be 6 days since he had the patch on. We have supplemented with Percocet that he had from past prescriptions that he didn't use as we were cutting those out completely, but they are not as strong as his OxyContin and we won't have enough to last until his next script. I know I shouldn't have done this, so please don't chastise me. What can we do? I'm so sad and worried.

Hey guys, I read these forums a lot but I've never participated. I'm starting to look at the dates and they seem really old, like a few years. I'm just hearing about the heroin and fentanyl and the oxy pill that has fentanyl in it that's overdosing people. But apparently it's been around since 2014.

no opioiode os synthetic and needs no opium to make it. it is tottally lab made and manufactured, where as opium os used to produce opiates such as heroim,morphine and dillaudid. onycontntin,methadone,fentynal atr sythetic and need specific tests for each seperate tests just for them to be identified individually.
