How Do You Feel On 300mg Of Bupropion When You Start And How Long To Take Effect

I started a week ago on 150mg of Bupropion XL and now increased to 300mg with dr ok.I started feeling not happy most of the time with no reason at all and this had been going on for a year.Have been diagnosed with anxiety and take Xanax but feel bummed that I seem to have graduated to depression.How do you feel at first on med and how long to take effect?

Hello, Juan! How are you? Sorry about the problems you've been experiencing.

As to your question, there is really no way for anyone to tell you how you're going to feel on it. Everyone is different, some people have a great experience with it and some don't. Some experience all the possible side effects, while some don't experience any. In some cases, it has even made some people feel a bit worse for the first couple of weeks.

While these medications will usually have some slight effect very soon after starting them, it usually takes about 4 to 6 weeks for them to reach their full efficacy level in your body. You can usually tell, because that is about the same time that any side effects you experience will reach their peak and start to taper off in severity.

When I wake up my muscles in my arms, legs and butt are very sore.After I get up and move around it gets much better .It started when I started bupropion.Is this common to have such pain and will it eventualy go away.I have been on the med 2 weeks now.thank-you

What other drug would be very close to the Bupropion to substitute.My doc.told me to cut dosage in half and see if muscle pain lessens.If not then we are going to see what would work for me.On 150 it was great and helped me feel normal in years.So that is why I hope we can see how half works.Pain is still 24/7 but does respond to alleve and is about 5 out of 10 now.Possible it has not reached efficafy point at 4 weeks maybe?
