How To Snort The New Formula Opana Er (Page 2)

I became a pain patient after I fell off a horse in March of last year and sustained spinal injuries which are still VERY painful. Opana ER was the first thing doctors gave me that helped at all and now that they have changed the formula I'm in a lot more pain. I want to break down the formula so I can insufflate it, as I am told I may get more pain relief and increase bioavailability of the drug. The new formula hardly offers the same pain relief, Please help me!

LizaJane I applaud you for getting off these "devils in a bottle". I personally used to abuse my meds but I did get dependent on them because of legit pain. I wont go in to all the gory details but I had to get back on meds for real pain n to have some Quality of Life. However i was taking them by mouth as prescribed. As soon as they put me on Opana, Endo went n effed them up. I am planning to just ask to be put back on the oxy 80s. They r also abuse proof but I get some relief from them. With the opana i get zero relief n I have withdrawals. Also, i didnt believe it til I experienced it but the WDs from the opana r even worst than oxy, roxy, etc. I had gotten 1 month of the 20s n then when they changed me to the 40s it was the New ones n the WDs blew my mind especially since i was taking them by mouth, not shooting snorting r injecting. I never undrstood y the WDs were worst if u did that until i learned on Topix about bio-availability.
Anyway, i have a question, do yall wander how the hell endo thinks they r going to make another Cent from this medication? The price is the same (very expensive) but the med is absolutely worthless. And im talking about millions of dollars a month they were making. I hope they go bankrupt myself.
And while I am n pain n sick, my heart breaks for the cancer patients n those with worst pain than I. Why does Big pharma not give a damn about human beings?? I just dont get it.

God Bless You honey Im.so glad you made it. I.pray that you have some kind of pain relief n some Quality of Life. Its such a shame in order to live pain free we have to become dependent on something that takes over our lives. And then judgemental.people look.down on us, as if we r not devestated by it already. Saddest thing is our Quality of Life is even worst than the pain was when the pills take over. Maybe one day someone will come up with a miracle for Chronic pain n Cancer patients.

Hey everyone. I just wanted to let people who dont know that there is a way to snort these, and they help much like the old formula. All you need is a dremel, a shoebox, and some needle nose pliers. Ill go into more detail if asked, will check back tomorrow. Its great and really isnt too much work. Please respond

Donna, thanks for the compliment. If I were all of you on this new Opana ER's, I would either DEMAND to be put on the Oxycontin or Roxicodone. I receive good pain relief from this medicine, plus I don't have to abuse it to receive the pain relief.
Donna, you asked the question on why is Endo doing this? Because of money. Now that they have come up with this new brand of Opana ER, the patent goes back and no other Pharmaceutical company can make a generic form. I think that "we, the people" honestly need to start questioning the motives of these companies and demand some answers that make sense. Pain medication will ALWAYS be abused and that is just the way that it is and changing them is just a great way for Endo to have their precious patent that no other company can make a generic form of. Honestly, this company needs to be sued. I did have a problem with it, but there are so many others that it helped. I have actually prayed for everyone out there because I can't imagine what you all are going through. No pain relief and withdrawal to top it. All because of greed. Everyone should demand to be taken off of it to make a point to these companies....WE THE PEOPLE AREN'T GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!

Okay, Les, and anyone else who is interested. You will first need to aqquire a Dremel (power tool) with a 'grind stone' bit ( you dont want a sanding type bit, because itll flake off and you dont want that in your nose!). K next take some needle nose pliers or a knife to hold the pill stead. A knife works just as well, you can stab it through the middle of the pill and as long as the knife is solid enough it should hold the pill in place.

Once you have your 2 main tools for the operation, find a shoe box or something thats walled in (because the dremel will throw powder everywhere if you dont have some sort of catching system). What i did was take a normal shoe box, clean it out, poke a hole in the bottom, and shove the tip of the dremel through that. Take your pliers, grab the EDGE of the pill, turn the dremel on to a lower speed (2 or 3 out of 10) and start grinding.

The end product should kinda look like very small ice flakes. Almost a powder but not quite.

I will warn that this method tends to produce a stronger and longer high ( at least in my case) but does take longer to kick in than the old formula.

PLEASE no one take offense to what I am about to write here, but it is a shame that you all have to go to these extremes for pain relief. I, myself, can't relate because I now have the Intrathecal Narcotic Pump and I take the Roxicodone for breakthrough pain. I don't want anyone at all to think that I am judging anyone at all for snorting them because living with severe, severe pain, that there is no relief for, will drive anyone to do desperate things....I know all too well about it. Have any or all of you thought of contacting an attorney and suing Endo??? As I wrote earlier, there will always be people out there abusing pain medication, nothing will ever change that. And all of a sudden these doctors and society in general, want to come up with labels, such as pain med seekers and such. I will admit to anyone at all that I am dependent upon pain medication. I have Dilaudid in my pump, plus I take 15 mg's of Roxicodone every 6 hours as needed. Trust me when I write here that I am not judging anyone. I did 'abuse" the Opana ER's when I was on them, and I had to be honest with you all about the fact that I loved the high that I got....and I was a person who judged anyone and everyone who so-called abused pain meds. I learned to never do that again in my life. I do not have cancer, so I will not go into all of my diagnosis' or about/how much titanium in my spine....I won't do that because I am fortunate to not need pain meds. to function daily due to cancer pain.But, I will let you know that I can not walk because of pain....that is when my pain isn't under control. I still have pain and I have come to terms with the fact that I will always have some sort of pain, but as long as it is bearable, I am thankful to God for this. I wish that I could help you all, but I can't and unfortunately, no one can. Other than putting you all on different meds. I wouldn't know what else that there is. And since Oxycontin, which never worked like that Pharmaceutical company said that it did in the first place, I don't know of any other extended time release med. other than methadone which I heard is awful. I just wish that all of the pain management doctors out there wouldn't believe these pharmaceutical people and what they write up about their clinical trials....they are all out for themselves...all greedy and taking advantage of human beings who are desperate for pain relief and somewhat vulnerable. There needs to be something done with these companies legally. As I wrote earlier, there is always going to be someone out there just looking for a fix....that has been going on as long as there has been opiates on the market.....this is not something new. I have a right, below the knee, amputation. I suffer from severe, chronic, phantom pain. Opana was like a miracle drug. Not only did it control the pain, it also helps my energy, mood, and general well-being. I can't believe the Government is making Endo take this off the market. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should take now?

i am in such pain and the dr. could give a s*** please help! right now i am willing to do what ever i have to to relieve this pain until i can get this med change or they fix it. this new pill is not helping at all i never snorted it but this new pill is woth less and the $ i paid its robbery

I wanted to let everyone out there know that Aleve helps to potentiate all pain medication. Take it 1 hour prior to taking any pain medication. I had read this somewhere on the internet and didn't believe it until I tried it.
I am in hopes that this will somewhat help. God bless everyone.

verwom I have talked my dr and he said maybe i got tolerant but i have some old opanas left and it is a fact that when i take the old ones they work and when i take the new ones they don"t so i have never snorted or abused my meds if u don't under stand having constant pain a not be able to live at all then shut up ! i do blame the people who have abuse these drugs just to get high and people who really need them just to move to be w/ their kids or do a few chores or just be able to sleep! so people really do depend on these med not for a high is why i liked opana but to just be able too leave you're bedroom so please if u don't live in pain every sec. you will never understand i used to be a nurse !NOW i'm nothing but a burden if i don't have meds!

PJ, I agree totally but when u get you're life back for thee months taking u're med as presided and the thing about opana er was that u weren't high just pain free and them after living but not living and they take away you're only thing thats ever made u feel almost whole again, then what?

The new opana is horrible...flat out it has no effect. I have been suffering from kidney stones and we think to be chromes for my whole life. I'm In a world of hurt. My girlfriend has scoliosis and is suffering more than i have. She was on 200mg a day of the old opana. Just from the withdrawl alone, She has been hospitalized 7 times in the last two weeks and 4 times myself. This morning i showed up at her place and she wasnt answering her phone or the door. Once i made it inside i found her on the bathroom floor having convultions with foam coming out her mouth. They gave us no warning. She was taking 10 of the new opana at a time with no effects. It wasnt abuse, it was desperation. I could cut up a pill and take a 4th of it and feel (normal) for hours. Just to prove a point i took 40 of the new opana er (40mg) at once, With no relief.... i didnt feel a thing actually just had a s*** ton of plastic in my stomach. Which by the way they're plastic time reliese. You cant cut them, you can bite them but u may loose a tooth....your best option is to suck on it till it disolves in your mouth. Dont swallow it!!! You will absorb more through your salvatory glands then in your stomach. You will notice doing it this way may cause slight nausea. If this happens take the pill out and chill for a few mins, then pop it back in once that feeling subsides.
The reason doctors put people on this drug to begin with is because its the best pain management drug that is resistant to tolerance. Morphine or oxy you build a tolerance to it fast enough to have to either get another pill or up the Mg on your script everytime you fill it. The old opana was different i never once had to up my dose.
Now its not doing anything... I know people snort them but that shouldnt matter if it works. They are now preventing you from doing that but in doing so they have made the drug completely useless. And with no warning, they are throwing everyone to the wolves of withdrawl. They should have warned everyone months ahead of time and started weenning them off the drug or onto something else before they just f***ed everyone over. You will never find the same relief as you did with the old opana. That means your sick as f*** for months as you are constantly going up on the dosage for the replacement meds with no prevail... The next best thing is heroin.... sadly the phamisutical companies have just created a whole bunch of heroin addicts because they are desprately in pain. So the crime, suiside, homelessness and the murder rate will sky rocket....Thank you for F***ING everyone over... including the innocent people that have nothing to do with opana. They just get robbed.... way ta F***ING GO!!! Im Going TO MEXICO... PEACE!!!!

Sorry, forgot i had posted on this site. Its called a "dremel". Google it. you can find them at any home improvement store. Its like a drill, a drill that spins at very high rpms. Youll be using to sand down the pills to very fine flakes that then lets it absorb into your nasal. Although if i havent said it already, your snot will turn into a really strange consistency.
