Hmmm...ironic. Bnice said something mean and offered no more of an answer to the initial question than the person they were criticizing. This post is equally as useless, but at least I'm aware of it. In the future Bnice, you may want to consider being nicer.

yes benzos are fat soluble so depending on your metabolism they can be detected in a standard urine test for 4 to 6 weeks

what to do Says:
I am supposed to take only 1 mg. of xanax a day.The past 3 days, I have taken 2. I have a urine test in 10 days. I usually stick to 1 a day but a death in my family made the anxiety worse so, I used a little more. I have a test coming up in 10 days. Is there any way I can make the level go down before my urine test so it will go down to show I've only taken 1 a day before I take my urine test in 10 days. I am willing to stop or slack off so my urine test will show up as the right amount Sorry txt was so long. Thanks

no..they will not turn you down..ive been on suboxone for 1 1/2 years, and when u start the program to get it , they expect for you to have all those types of drugs in your system, but then when you come back and take another test , they want you to be completely clean, but depending on how much you use it could take a week or two for xanxax oget out...but you'll be all good..i went in to get mine i took xanxax 2 days before, but was honest and tol them..and everything was good.

Valium is a benzo, hence the positive test. Also suboxone does not show up on a 5 panel screen, not even as an opiate. P.S. tell your boyfriend to kick those subs. The withdrawal from those things is worse than heroin.

A lot of doctors will not prescribe you suboxone if you are taking benzo's. I just went to a new doctor today and sat there for an hr then he told me that he couldn't prescribe me the sub's today because he had a system that he could see medications you have been prescribed over the last couple months. If you can get away without telling them i would. Some doctors will do it, but it's rare. Ive been doing this for years now. I finally find a doctor that takes my insurance and then this happens. Needless to say I was Pissed.

Okay I am a nurse and a recovering addict. There is NO Xanax in Suboxone. Whoever said that is WAY off! Suboxone is made up of TWO main ingredients: Buprenorphine, and Naloxone- which is the opiate blocker. Suboxone does not show up in a drug text as an opiate. It doesn't show up unless it itself is specifically tested for. Many doctors will not prescribe you Suboxone if you are currently taking Benzo's, because it can be dangerous. In most cases it's because people abuse the medications together. There are a few doctors that will allow it, but it's rare, and more and more doctors are cracking down on it because people have died from the combination, but in most of the cases that, that has happened, like I said it was because the person wasn't taking the medication properly. I have taking benzo's with Suboxone for years, but I take it the way I'm supposed to. You just have to find the right doctor. It's a pain in the butt. Most don't take insurance, and can be very expensive. You have to do your research.

Actually, I was taking random tests and prior to that, abusing Xanax. I went 5 wks clean & it still showed up in my system. Depending on the amount you are taking, it can be anywhere from 3 days to 6 weeks. Thats thee Gods honest truth. I was placed on felony probation later on & the benzos were out in 7 weeks. Good luck. ( I was taking 20 mg per day.

I was taking benzo's on a regular, both valium and xanex when my husband passed away. I got a DUI and was put on probation and was clean for 5 weeks before I actually started my probation.... I had a urine test my first PO meeting and I failed.... still hadnt taken anything else and my 2nd PO meeting which was 1 month later I had another drug test and FAILED AGAIN. I ended up testing positive for almost 6 months for benzos. Your test results depend on type of benzo and how much you are taking. I read somewhere that Valiums can build up in your kidneys over time and cause you to fail a drug test for 6 months or more... from my understanding xanex is out of your system quicker but also depends on body fat and water intake and how much of it you have been taking.

I have had even several mg's of xanax out of my system in only 3 or 4 days, according to UA tests at both the ER and a regular doctor office. I am a 5'5, 130 lb. woman. I didn't do anything special to get the xanax out of my system. I also take Subutex, and it does not show up on drug tests that hospitals do...But I am not an expert on the different types of tests, and anyway, I am suspicious of some doctors' supposed results. I got kicked off a free Subutex program at one doctor because my UA showed up with crystal meth (which I have never taken), and LSD (which I have not taken in 30 years). I knew I had the UA coming up, so I didn't take any xanax for 4 days. I did take a high dose of Benadryl 30-40 mgs a day (bad, bad, bad, experience-don't do this), for several days. I told the doc I had taken benadryl, but they stuck to their drug test results and I got kicked off the program there. So somehow the high doses of benadryl came back as LSD and crystal meth. Or else that doctor was fraudulent, which I suspect. I found another doc who prescribes both subutex and clonazepam, and keeps me on the free sub program without doing UA's. Jackpot! A rare and lucky find. Soon my insurance will even cover the office visits there. You bet that I am sticking with this doctor. I am careful and do not overdue the subutex with the benzos. If you do, you run the risk of death. It is so common that states are developing computer systems that show everything you have been prescribed, whether you went through insurance or paid cash. That is not yet the case in WA, where I had been living, so I was shocked and bummed out to discover that backwater, backwards AZ where I moved last year had the more advanced system of logging your prescription history. Plus, most doctors refuse to prescribe any kind of benzo. Here they separate regular doctors' ability to prescribe anything they consider a medicine for mental issues, and for those, the prescription must come from a psychiatrist. Since I mentioned it, I should explain that every doctor in the country who is certified to prescribe suboxene or subutex (suboxene has the narcotic blocker; subutex does not) is allowed to have up to 5 patients on a free program. For me that is huge, because otherwise the cost is $8 per 8mg's, and I am on 16mg's a day--way too much money for me to afford. I would really like to get off the sub, but am in too stressful a time to have to deal with withdrawals. It is much harder to get off than even heroin, so I am told. The symptoms last for several weeks (even if you have weaned down), which I am too chicken to go for just yet. But I am tired of having to take something just to feel normal and avoid being sick. I have gone on and off benzos, stopping cold turkey when I ran out, for years. I thought I was fine, but a month ago, I had a gran mal seizure. It was very awful and scary. I still don't know if the seizure was caused by stopping xanax for a day or two, or if it epilepsy. Sorry for the long post, but I hope it helped someone.
