I was on Suboxone for a little over a year. I quit about a month ago. I may have to take a urine test for the courts. Will it show up? Should I mention it prior?

that's not nice to call people liars dude , it does make a difference on whos testing for what , I test at my doctors office and they can tell if its in my system or not but maybe they do have to test for it specifically , not sure ....I do know its suppose to block opiates for up to 3 days so I would think it would be in your system that long . but again , if your flushing your system with lots of water maybe I would flush out quicker

according to my doctor who is a SUB DOCTOR , there is a small amount of pain medicine in it and If I remember correctly it is a small amount of an opiate . I will ask again at my next appointment to clear this up lol

Suboxone contains buprenorphine, which is a partial opiate agonist yes. However, it will not show up if you are taking a test for opiates because it is a synthetic opiate and does not break down into morphine the way heroin or codeine or other opiates do. Because of this, the only way it will be detected in a drug screen is if you are being tested specifically for buprenorphine. It is not standard to test for this. However, some places do. It really just depends. The drug screens my psychiatrist gives me test for buprenorphine. The drug screens my probation officer or the court give me do not test for burprenorphine. So it just depends. But normally it is not tested for. If you were prescribed buprenorphine by a doctor you cannot get in trouble for having it in your system. I am 100% positive that this information is accurate. It contains an opiate.. But it will not trigger a positive opiate result. It will only trigger a positive buprenorphine result. Hope I helped.

On Tuesday night at 8:00pm, I tested my son using a 12 panel quickscreen cup from American Screening Corporation. The results came back positive for Suboxone. He is very adamant that he isn't using any type of drugs. I would like to retest him, but I know that by now, it's more than likely out of his system. It is now Friday (2.5 days later). Can I use the same urine to retest him?

It breaks down to oxi morphone as it's leaving the body. At least that's what mine said (lab test) I was on nothing but pot and suboxone when I took the test so I know that it couldn't have been anything else.

I go to a pain clinic. The main DR that runs it is a freeken idiot and I mean an idiot! I am not on disability but he trashes anyone who is! He makes them go to physical therapy and tells them they have to get off there butts and stop living off his tax dollars. My point is they will only prescribe lortab and your lucky to get four tens per day! But he will gladly give you a bupe patch that lasts a weak and slowly goes into your sytem. He will give you stronger and stronger patches. I know why he does it! He wants to block everyones lortab in case they are getting a buzz on it.
I had another DR at the clinic take me completely off the patches. But I wanted a break from the tabs after 10 years on them so I got 4 subutext. They do specifically test at the clinic because they regularly prescribe the patches . I came up with the subutex in my system five days after I took one! The only thing that saved me is I told the DR I had saved a patch and put it on my arm because my tendinitis flared up and I thought it may help if I put it right my arm close to the pain. I was dirty for subs five full days after only taking four NO 8 mg for four days!

I took a a whole sub Thurs and Friday. Took a half Saturday I have to take a UA weds they close at 6 so I'm gonna wait til the last minute. Think I'll pass? gonna drink a lot of water and already pee twenty times a day

Okay, For anyone! I Need a quick response if at all possible!??? I Have a drug Screen coming up for Parole on Tuesday & today is Sunday, I took about 3mg of a suboxone strip about 12 O'clock today will it show up in my drug screen on Tuesday??? Or is there something that i can do to get it out of my system like drinking alot of water or viniger or something!!!??? I don't know what to do!

Don't stop drinking water, do physical activity to make you sweat as much as possible. Eat as many green veggies as possible. I've gotten it out in less than two days in a pinch

i am on 24mg of suboxone a day & because someone told my doc that im sharing them with someone he wants a urine drug test done. all the script says is: "urine drug screen with buprenorphine". with it being written like that, will they test the levels of the buprenorphine?? where i go for counseling, they DO test the levels cuz my counselor said "well ur negative for other narcotics and ur suboxone levels have been consistent". well, they will be alot lower than when my counseling place does it. the so-called friend of mine that i was sharing with has stolen most of my strips, therefore i have been taking a much, much lower dose. i am terrified of being removed from this program, as i have been an addict of opiates for 20+ yrs. i have been clean off opiates for almost a year now, and i know if it wasnt for the suboxone, i definitely would not be. can someone PLEASE PLEASE help me with these questions? now, before anyone judges me, let me say that i understand that it is my own fault that i am in this situation and im very aware of that. i have made a lot of mistakes, but because of suboxone, one of those is not using opiates.

my suboxone doctor regularly urine tests me. I once tested negative for suboxone in my system after only 2 days of not taking it. i was shocked that i tested negative because I was always told it stayed in your system longer than 2 days but i tested negative. i am 5 foot 5, 150 pounds and have a super fast metabolism. Always extremely skinny growing up and burn calories very quickly.

I have been on Suboxone for 3 yrs now & my Dr told me that it shows in a urine test for at least 72 hrs after last dose. He said it takes 72 hrs before withdraw hits also. And for all of you out there taking Suboxone without it being prescribed to you , That is just utterly stupid. It is to easy if really needed to obtain a script !!!!
