How Long Does 2 Mg Morphine Stay In Your System After Taking It For Two Months

Hi. How long will I experience withdrawal side effects from morphine? I was prescribed to take one or two 2 mg pills of hydromorphone to help with the pain in my legs due to MS. I have been weaning myself off because of side effects. I am only taking one pill about every 36 hours and increasing the time in between each pill. When can I stop taking the pills completely without feeling sick and agitated? Is there anything I can do to help get this toxin out of my body sooner so I never have to take it again?

Honey.. first, stop worrying, you are on such a low dose that i doubt you will have any withdrawl symptoms when you stop, stop whenever you want. My question is what will you do for the pain when you do stop? I assume you are already taking NSAIDS of some kind and they werent doing the job.. How long were you taking the pills? Many of the side effects of morphine wear off with continued use, after a relatively short amount of time. Your body gets used to the drug rather quickly. I was on a much higher dose for several years and when i first started on them they would make me sleepy, actually that was a good side effect for me because i have much trouble sleeping, but that effect wore off after about a month. If you really want to get it out of your system its simple, drink lots of water and stop taking the pills. Morphine gets out of your system within a few days. You can ask your doc for a med called clonapin if you have withdrawal symptoms but you sound like you dont like drugs of any kind so i suggest trying to tough it out, it should not be bad at all since you are taking so little.. if you were goint to have symptoms you would be having them now.

I reently had a bunion removed and a hamer toe broken. The pain was the worst I have everr felt in my life. The doctor sent me to a rehab for 10 days and I was administered Dilaudid 2mg. I took (2 pills) 4 mg every 4 hours round the clock for about 2weeks and then I stopped the night time when I came hoeand took 4 mg every 4 hours. I weaned my self off slowly after 2 months. I am having horrible side effects, I have been dilaudid free for about 2 weeks. I have chronic back pain and Fibromylgia so before the operation I was taking 25mc Fentynal patch x 72 hrs. and Norco as needed, which was about twice a day. I stopped the Norco before the surgery and I have started taking it 2 x daily since the Dilaudid cut off. I have anxiety, restless legs, extreme tiredness, shaking, and depression since the Dilaudid stopped and I can't tolerate it? What can i do?

How do you get over withdrawal symptoms from taking 60mg slow release morphine. Worse nightmare o my life .Have chronic pain from pancreatic cancer and everyone says it is not good to be addicted to this drug but the pain is so bad at times . friends say tough it out cause pills of any kind are bad but my life is no longer like it used to be. I used to love life. Anyone out there have any advice? P!ease be kind with anything you may say. to If not please ignore my request. I appreciate anyones kindness. Sorry for being so emotional but walk a day in my shoes so the saying goes

Don't listen to those friends, they're ignorant to your situation...take the meds as prescribed...you do have Cancer Ma'am...and like I've been told SEVERAL times...you don't win a medal for trying to tough it out!!

Idk how anybody can say that being in a drug is worse for you than being in chronic intense pain. Take what you need, if the dr gives it to you, you need it! Tell people to mind their own!

Those people one don't know what your filling two your doctor would not be giving them to you of you shouldn't have them especially these days how strict things are so of there helping as not causing you any effects or hurting or bothering you then ignore people some people don't believe in taking meds or believe in mental issues line bi polar or anxiety attacks etc. Cause they have never had to exsperince it so they don't know
