Hormone Replacement Therapy For Men

When I first started Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), I was put on Androgel - but i didn't like the way the alcohol dried out my skin and the fact that it took up to 5-6 hours for complete absorption before I could shower.

So, after much research, I decided to switch to Testim (for the record I was on 2 tubes per day (same as Androgel). That would be 10mg/day

My body responded to Testim so much better that I would never recommend another gel testosterone to anyone. First of all, you can shower 2 hours application and it will still have full effect. Second, my lab tests before Androgel were a dismal 200ng/dl, After 3 months at two pouches of Androgel daily, they had increased to only about 550ng/dl.

Then Testim entered my life, And even through it wasn't fully covered by my insurance and I had a co-pay of $55 instead of $20 - after 3 months, my levels were at 1600ng/dl and I felt like a god!

Shortly after that I switched to injections because I lost my health insurance, but if all your doc will give you is Androgrel - then fire his a**,. Remember, doctors are your employees. If they don't work out, well, then there is a whole phone book out there that is full of guys that - if asked politely and is not in violation of their Hippocratic Oath- will give you what you want (as long as you don't want 1000 oxys a month).

Especially now, now that all that the boomers are getting older - I mean, hell, female hormone replacement has been going on since Nixon was president but there were so many docs that were afraid of even mentioning the "T-Word" - TESTOSTERONE because politicians had co-opted it, and made it a campaign issue -

"Steroids are killing our children!"

"Steroids are ruining baseball!"

It just became a hot button issue; while you can bet your a** off that half of those same politicians were either slathering on gel every morning or getting their doctor to shoot them up with test cyp once a week.

Well, folks, that's all over, because money rules and there are 65 million men that want to feel 40 again without having to pop a $14/shot little blue pill every time they want to get it up. Once your testosterone levels return to what they were when your were 30-35 you'll be waking up with morning wood you can pound nails with.

I mean, keep the Cialis (my preferred - but bought in India foe $1.50/pill) around for when you and your wife through the kids out, lock the doors, swill a case of Red Bull and hit every room in the house - but your expenditures on erection pills - if once a budget line item, will all but disappear (I mean, sh*t a 10ml 200mg/ml bottle of test enanthate -- even without insurance, costs about $120, tops. Now if you take 1 ml of that ever week, your test levels are going back to when you were at least 40, maybe even 30. If you max the dose and the maximum dose on the label is between 400mg/week - you can feel 20 again - and that bottle will last you for 5 WEEKS). And don't worry about not being able to find a doctor - not only are they getting older, too, but the stigma of male hormone replacement (essentially what has amounted to discrimination again men for the last 30 years) is finally wearing off.

Anyone who watches TV can see that. You know what I'm talking about - all those commercials where docs are talking about a "common condition called 'Low-T' " (just cuz they want to wait another year or so to come out and use the real word - TESTOSTERONE).

I mean, for real, people, we have the technology, we have the will and we certainly have the money. Not to mention that there has not been (one) 1 single study done that has shown that a person taking non "supra-physiological" levels (think Sly Stallone) that has shown that testosterone replacement - when done reasonably and ethically - has caused one single negative side effect in one single man (and I challenge any doc on this website to produce a non-biased study if I am wrong). And don't dredge up that old study that it may cause increased risk of prostate cancer - because there have been at least 5 studies that I know of that have buried that crap on the ash-heap of history.

In fact, the benefits of replacement so far out weigh the risks, it's unconscionable that we haven't been doing this far long and far more wide spread.

I mean, sure, you get all the good stuff - It increases energy, increases quality of mood - directly in opposition to the 'roid rage rumors of the past (UNLESS YOU'RE SHOOTING 1000MG OF TRENBOLONE ENAN PER WEEK), it increases lean muscle, decreases adipose fat, reinvents your sex life with your wife, (saving - how many - docs? - hundreds of thousands; or millions of marriages every year?), bu you also get all of the super positive stuff that the Surgeon General and the AMA cite as the leading causes of death in our country? Not only does it decrease your bad cholesterol, it increases your good cholesterol, lessens the chance of heart attack or stroke, causes you to lose weight, (whether or not it actually makes you get off your a** and go to the gym). In fact, I cannot think of a single bad thing to say about the benefits of testosterone replacement - when used properly and corroborated by frequent lab tests).

And it has now become unstoppable - because the money of the baby boomers have finally realized that they have been lied to all these years about how unhealthy and wrong it is - and those boomers are not going quietly into that good night - they're going to the gym, working out hard then going home and and showing their wives why the got married in the first place.

Hell, your first prescription should come with a sex toy catalog because it's game on, folks. And if your family doctor won't do it, then fire him, Get a phone book and call every doctor in there and ask their assistant if they do hormone replacement for men over 50 or 55. While you're at it, shoot the moon -- ask him to prescribe you some oxandrolone (a very mild oral steroid that has been shown to decrease adipose body fat around you midriff - without altering your diet or exercise) and some Aromasin - an anti-estrogen - cuz no guy wants b**** tits like Meatloaf from Fight Club,

Hell, you might even be able, if you've got good insurance, to get some human growth hormone - but, if not, it's easier to get the generic stuff for 1/10 of the price is you know where to look and it works just as good, Trust me, I know.

If you have any difficulty getting a doctor to prescribe your hormone replacement therapy, and you've already fired at least one - please contact me,. I wrote a paper on this a long time ago that has helped countless men go the legal route and stay away from buying untrustworthy, overpriced s*** at the gym who's probably a cop that stole it from the evidence room.

Think about it - go walk by your son's room - if that doesn't tell you that you have too much to lose, then there is nothing that I can say that will.

Thank you for your informative and thoughtful post.

The main problem that arose wasn't due to just general HRT for men, it was due to the abuse of it, which can be very dangerous. Some men suffered severe health problems, such as heart damage, stroke and death.

I need some help very bad and don't know exactly which way 2 go! My t was very low doctor put me on 200mg every 2 weeks, not enough - increased to 400ng every two weeks and it started working better & felt like needed to increase just a bit more & be fine! Instead went in one day and nurse ratchet says were doing blood serum levels and it was 600ng which was better but felt like I needed to increase a bit more! Instead they took me down to 400ng a month instead of every two weeks! I need to be able to order injectable testosterone cypionate cheapest! Also, my testicles have shrunk way too much and embarrasses me and my man tits are bigger but not huge yet! Where do I go? I need help! Can you please help me! I live in Kingston, Tn. I can't help you with an online pharmacy but can tell you that I started hurt earlier this year with Neebido 1000mg. Was given first injection then again after 6 weeks then every 10 weeks after. I also noticed tested began to shrink and nipples tender with some breast tissue growth. Dr has now given me a 9 week course of HCG which is injected twice a week for 9 weeks to restart my testes to produce testosterone and stop them from shrinking. He has also given me a course of estrogen blockers as I also had my estrogen tested in last bloods and it was high.
