Actually, Phentermine should not be used if you have high blood pressure. It is an amphetamine and phenethylamine class medication, which means it acts as a stimulant.

Stimulants are very well known for raising your blood pressure and heart rate.

Phentermine has been known to cause hypertension in people that were taking, who had not previously had high blood pressure.
