Teva Lorazepam Reviews (Page 26) (Top voted first)

I'm seeking insights and reviews on Teva Lorazepam and its comparison with Leading Pharma's version. There's a notable divide in user experiences. Some report Leading Pharma Lorazepam as being less effective or having no effect, possibly due to variations in the active ingredient, leading to side effects or adverse reactions in certain cases.

While there are those who recommend Teva Lorazepam for its efficacy, others find Leading Pharma's version more suitable. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try Teva Lorazepam since it's not available in my area – no local pharmacies dispense it.

My experience with other brands, post the discontinuation of Qualitest, hasn't been successful in finding a comparable alternative. I'm particularly interested in understanding how Teva Lorazepam and Leading Pharma's lorazepam differ in terms of effectiveness and user satisfaction.

If you've had experiences with either or both of these medications, your reviews would be incredibly valuable. Any insights into their efficacy, side effects, or overall satisfaction would greatly help me and others in our decisions.

Henry, of these three Xanax, Klonopin or Valium, which one works like lorazepam, I hope Xanax works faster but the effects also disappear quickly. and which generic company is good?

Lex, did you not have any luck with Teva lorazepam even after some time?
I called the company and they said their ingredients are identical to Actavis/Watson but I’m getting alot of vertigo with this.

Also, has anyone tried compounded lorazepam?
I tried the capsules at .25 but they were a it strong for me so my dr put in an rx for lozenges which I plan to try if Aurobindo doesn’t work well.

Klonopin is most similar to lorazepam but it has a longer half life and is harder to get off of if your goal is to get off of them entirely

That's a tough one, really depends a lot on what you take lorazepam for. If you take them as needed to shut down a panic attack then Xanax would be the best alternative. For all day coverage to treat generalized anxiety and/or social anxiety as well as preventing panic attacks there's Klonopin or Xanax XR. XR is the time released version of xanax that is the only way to get a full days coverage without gaps between 3x/day dosing with standard xanax. It's just too short acting to cover ~16 hours a day.

Everyone is different with how the benzodizepines affect them. For me Klonopin gave me a mild depression which if I recall correctly happens in about 10% of people who take it. Others have found Xanax to make them feel somewhat hyper. The most important thing (and I know it can be difficult) is finding a good doctor that will work with you on finding the best benzodiazepine for you.

Forgot to add: For Xanax or Xanax XR the best generics are made by Greenstone Pharmaceuticals. That is Pfizer's generic drug arm and these have been shown to be bio-equivalent to the brand name.

Klonopin I'm not sure, you could check the Klonopin threads here or make a post. I don't think they've had nearly the same problems with generics as Ativan has.

Yes, been taking it since 2018 after I got sick when the pharmacy ran out of their remaining Mylan lorazepam stock after it was discontinued and it was filled with Leading lorazepam. My doctor was successful in getting a prior authorization approved from my blue cross insurance for the brand name Ativan. I find it works well, just as well as the Mylan generic was working for me.

I also was doing very well on Mylan up till I ran out in 2019 and they had discontinued it. I made the transition to Aurobindo slowly by taking half Mylan during the day and Aurobindo at night. It worked well for me until this past fall. Something about Aurobindo has changed and it’s really unsettling.
Is Brand name really as good as Mylan? I take 1.75 mg total per day. How do I get my doctor to get it approved? I hear it costs thousands of dollars per month. Thanks for your help. Grateful for this forum.

So you need to ask your doctor to submit a “Prior Authorization” request to your insurance for brand name Ativan. Without insurance coverage it’s ridiculously expensive. With insurance it will likely cost the top tier co-pay on your policy (you should be able to find that on their website or calling them at the number on your insurance card).

For me I found it works well and was a lifesaver after Mylan was no longer available.

Trish, At that time I tried Teva for 3 days, my anxiety didn't go away, my stomach and head were uncomfortable. I've even asked Teva's CS and QC team. they said it was identical in formula to actavis/ watson. but it's obvious they're lying. I also asked can Watson be returned and they have not answered.

I am not for panic attacks. I suffer from generalized anxiety disorder. I drink once a day with 1mg. if you were like me, what would you choose?

Is submitting an insurance agreement difficult or easy? if it is approved, our insurance payment increases or when you take the drug there will be an additional fee?

Has the brand name been consistently good for you? I hope they don’t mess around with the formulation like they do with the generics. I was so good on Mylan. I wish they never stopped it. Have you tried Aurobindo? It worked for me from 2019-2022 but now there’s some change. The pill itself has a different color and taste. Should I try to adjust over time or do I ask my doctor for brand name? I hope he will do the prior authorization.

Yes! same problem happened to me. Plus excessive vertigo and major brain fog. I tried aurobindo last night but it was from ‘21 and seemed to do ok with it. Now i’m reading the formulation changed on that too so I’m not sure how that’s going to go if I try to fill it.
I have an order for lozenges but haven’t filled them yet. I do know that compounded seems to be alot stronger so I would take a little less than what you usually take.

Even Leading has become difficult to find. Sure seems like Teva has the narket cornered. I checked with a few independents, 2 Costcos, 2 Walgreens, CVS, my local Shoprite pharmacy, Target (which is really CVS, and Rite Aid....ALL stock Teva and nothing else.

The other day I had forgotten to take my dose of lorazepam around noon (minor emergency).....but I always carry a pill case with some old Watson (pre-Covid) in it. Though it must have been 4-5 years old....unrefrigerated.....omg, what a workd of difference compared to the present Teva!

They do now.....Teva clonazepam is ineffective for ne while Accord is much better. But i can only find Accord at one Costco and i have the feeling its the last of it as other Costcos carry Teva as does Walgreens and CVS.....my local Shoprite has something like 'Solco'?
