Teva Lorazepam Reviews (Page 9)
UpdatedI'm seeking insights and reviews on Teva Lorazepam and its comparison with Leading Pharma's version. There's a notable divide in user experiences. Some report Leading Pharma Lorazepam as being less effective or having no effect, possibly due to variations in the active ingredient, leading to side effects or adverse reactions in certain cases.
While there are those who recommend Teva Lorazepam for its efficacy, others find Leading Pharma's version more suitable. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try Teva Lorazepam since it's not available in my area – no local pharmacies dispense it.
My experience with other brands, post the discontinuation of Qualitest, hasn't been successful in finding a comparable alternative. I'm particularly interested in understanding how Teva Lorazepam and Leading Pharma's lorazepam differ in terms of effectiveness and user satisfaction.
If you've had experiences with either or both of these medications, your reviews would be incredibly valuable. Any insights into their efficacy, side effects, or overall satisfaction would greatly help me and others in our decisions.
Re: Leebs (# 160)
Hey, thanks for sharing...really appreciate it. Now I'm even more baffled if you say it's wirking okay for you. Maybe it *is* just me and my anxiety is just not responding anymore to lorazepam like it was. At any rate, i found a CVS near me that uses the Aurobindo brand, so my doc called in an Rx for me there...hopefully it isn't any worse. Fingers crossed. Thank you again for the kind reply. ?? Best to you.
Re: Jen (# 161)
Hi Jen, please post back after you've tried the Aurobindo generic. I'm very curious what your experience is especially directly compared to Leading (which I think is terrible, even filled a complaint with the FDA about them). I am taking the brand now as my current insurance covers it, but it would be nice if there was a bioequivalent lorazepam back on the market.
Re: Henry (# 162)
Sure, I'll let you know. It's such a pain....hate being at the mercy of the pharmacies. :(
Re: Henry (# 162)
Hi Henry, just wanted to report back re: the Aurobindo lorazepam. I've taken it a few days now and it definitely works better for me than the Leading brand. I know some on here like the Leading brand but it doesn't work with my body for sure. I take the 0.5mg tabs for what it's worth. Hopefully that helps. Sending positive vibes, be well.
Re: Jen (# 164)
Does anyone know which chain is carrying the Aurobindo or Actavis? My pharmacy is Rite Aid and they switched to Leading 3 months ago... Leading has not been horrible, but Actavis was a little more effective and haven’t tried Aurobindo. I’m in New Jersey....
Thanks
Re: Jen (# 164)
Jen thanks for the update, I'm glad the aurobindo is working for you. Like you I found Leading was like taking nothing, so good to hear there's a better alternative on the market.
Re: Leebs (# 165)
Try to find an independent pharmacy in your area. They still exist but mostly in larger population areas (when I lived in a small upstate ny town no luck, here in S FL there are at least two near me. The reason I recommend an independent pharmacy is usually they will order whichever generic manufacturer you request. CVS used to take requests when mylan was around but stopped, and Walgreens couldn't give a s#%t to help their customers.
Re: Leebs (# 165)
I'm in MA and the CVS near me stocks the Aurobindo lorazepam. I called a few pharmacies, chain amd and independent and they were all carrying the Leading brand due to a lorazepam shortage/backorder apparently. I wouldn't give up on asking a CVS or an independent pharmacy to try and special order it, my Walgreens usually does that for me but mot for this. My next step was to see if I could get it from CanadaRx as I've ordered meds(not lorazepam, just SSRIs) in the past from them. You still need a legit Rx from a doctor but at least you know what you're getting and it doesn't break the bank. Now that I'm writing this though, not sure you could get Lorazepam over the border since it's a controlled substance. Might be worth looking into though. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Re: Lou (# 2)
I was searching to find someone with this same problem!!! I feel like I’ve been given fake Ativan!!!! This brand does not work AT ALL! It’s like taking a damn sugar pill!
Re: Henry (# 167)
My pharmacy won't do it here where I live. They've all told me they buy the cheapest and will not switch brands for anyone especially a benzodiazepenzine. My CVS will special order other drugs that aren't controlled substances. The pharmacist are more critical then doctors are about prescribing benzo's Walgreens will to but not benzo's. My new therapist started up on me for being on 4 mgs a day. Told him your not my doc so lay off. Spent 15 minutes telling me all the bad things about the drug Needless to say I fired him right there on the spot. His mouth dropped to the floor. Now I'm back searching for someone new. Everybody getting triggered over nothing these days. Think I read out here someone saying medical professionals were taught to do no harm to patients. Last month I was on Aurobindo and the following month bam back on Leading. Depending on the stock of Leading you get is a crap shoot. This time the old stock. First doze right back in the hole. Telling y'all get the Aurobindo if you can. No joke it's better than anything out here. Least you don't feel like burnt toast. Good luck y'all!
Re: Jibbs55 (# 170)
Hey Jibbs, sorry about the bad doctors. Probably sounds crazy but find a psychiatrist that has a subspecialty in "addiction psychiatry". My last three have been and honestly they're not scared to prescribe benzodiazepines as they understand how we got to this place and they are trained in benzodiazepines & withdrawal so aren't afraid to deal with patients habituated on them.
Re: Henry (# 171)
My pdoc is good. He knows his stuff. Doesn't have any troubles with me being on lorazepam. I started searching for someone to talk to because I've been in a slump with personal issues. Plus struggling with family and friends passing away. This therapist I spoke about told be to read a book on codependency because the pain I was feeling about them was apparently not a emotion you can have these days? Don't answer that I know the answer ;). Talked with a fellow that authorized my insurance to see this guy. He told me many therapist have lost their way. Thank you for the heads up and kind words.
Re: Jibbs55 (# 172)
Many therapists have lost their way like burnt out due to pandemic? Because damn, i cannot find a therapist anywhere who is taking new patients, booked to the gills or has a long waiting list of people trying to get in. I know the therapust i had been talking with seems checked out, she even told me she was. A sign of the times I suppose.
Re: Jen (# 173)
Jen, I'm talking about before the coronavirus pandemic. I've been trying to find someone that's a good fit. The one that I found has wide open availability. (Yes this therapist was found in the pandemic range)
I'm wondering if you missed the part where I was being heckled for using 4 mg of Lorazepam. (First 15+ minutes of the session). Along with being called codependent because of being overwhelmed by the loss of family. I never said here that I started reading the book and said great there's like 100+ traits of codependency. Imagine what that did to my psyche.
Like I said in my last messages everyone is trigger happy these days. Yes these personalities are being triggered by the coronavirus. People's nerves are unraveled.
When I see somebody out here that's overwhelmed by their circumstances I don't come out here and make them feel worst. I just read the feed and try if I can to show some compassion.
But yah ya know?
Re: Jen (# 168)
Has anyone been able to find Actavis or Aurobindo Lorazapem? In New Jersey and Rite Aid only carries Leading. Tolerable, but the others are slightly better.
Thanks everyone
Re: Leebs (# 175)
Costco has had Actavis for several years.
Re: Ken (# 6)
Yes he definitely yes the pills are useless and actually make me get up and Clean my house instead of going to sleep someone needs to stop this company from ripping off people
Re: Lou (# 2)
See it really is different for everyone. Mylan by far was the best!!! I reacted well to leading pharma when compared to activus. Just keep switching until you find one that works. Good luck. You could always stack with buspar if your doctor can prescribe it for you.
contact the fda, this is the only way to fix this issue once and for all
I'm having the same problem and I just received a refill of the 0.5 MG by Leading Pharma. It's a pure placebo. The pills aren't even scored for splitting. I don't know what brand I took previously, but I only take .25 MG for a dosage. It's for stress and chronic hives and they choose to give me sugar pills. Not working.
