Teva Lorazepam Reviews (Page 19)
UpdatedI'm seeking insights and reviews on Teva Lorazepam and its comparison with Leading Pharma's version. There's a notable divide in user experiences. Some report Leading Pharma Lorazepam as being less effective or having no effect, possibly due to variations in the active ingredient, leading to side effects or adverse reactions in certain cases.
While there are those who recommend Teva Lorazepam for its efficacy, others find Leading Pharma's version more suitable. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try Teva Lorazepam since it's not available in my area – no local pharmacies dispense it.
My experience with other brands, post the discontinuation of Qualitest, hasn't been successful in finding a comparable alternative. I'm particularly interested in understanding how Teva Lorazepam and Leading Pharma's lorazepam differ in terms of effectiveness and user satisfaction.
If you've had experiences with either or both of these medications, your reviews would be incredibly valuable. Any insights into their efficacy, side effects, or overall satisfaction would greatly help me and others in our decisions.
Re: Larry (# 360)
hi Larry, I found a post that leading and watson have the exact same active and inactive ingredients but after trying it, very much different. what are you using now?
Re: Lex (# 361)
Hi Lex, yes another website said Teva and Watson have the same exact ingredients as well. I have Watson for about another month and already refilled my Rx with Teva so I have no idea what I’m going to do
Re: Larry (# 362)
Aurobindo whatever active ingredient works pretty well with myself as I've spoke about. Only thing I can say is the fillers or the amount of active ingredient works in my body well. I've been stuck on Leading cause my folks I deal with would rather see me suffer then order it. But that's the government for you. Maybe you can do what Henry has said. For myself I don't have pvt insurance. Us Vets get stuck with the bottom of the barrel. Hope you'll find what works best for you. Peace guys!
Re: Larry (# 362)
teva says the composition is the same as watson but for me it's different. so far aurobindo is still better than teva
Re: Jb (# 331)
Same here. Mainly super exhausted. I could sleep 24/7. Feel nausea after taking. Just generally feel ill.
Re: Lex (# 364)
I'm being told the aurobindo brand is getting harder to get. Ive had a problem with 2 pharmacies running out and now they aren't getting it when they order it. Leading and teva brand sent me into withdrawals and now auro bindo appears to be going away as well. I have been on lorazepam for 23 years due to major panic attacks.. I have to take it every day. 3mgs a day. I'm very scared.
Re: Teresa (# 366)
Hmm that's not good. Even that online pharmacy Honey Bee Health I posted about below shows all Aurobindo strengths "out of stock". Unfortunately Aurobindo refuses to provide availability information to the tracking authority on shortages, Ashp, so no way to know if it's backordered or discontinued. Generally it's not common for all sizes to be unavailable so they might be leaving the lorazepam market.
Re: Henry (# 367)
I literally called about 15 pharmacies yesterday. The pharmacists that would engage with me said they went to the distribution Co.. one said they had it but they sometimes reject the Pharmacies orders??? And the other distribution center has the product name but no product and doesn't even say when it might come in..
Re: Teresa (# 368)
Contact Aurobindo USA in New Jersey. It’s still active in their catalog. Also, a drug manufacturer needs to notify the FDA of a product discontinuation, which They have not done. I doubt the product is being discontinued. I’ve been fortunate to be able to get it regularly. So, they could be experiencing some shortages that may be regional. As someone else had mentioned, they do not update ASHP on product status.
Re: Leebs (# 369)
Thank you so much for the information.
Re: Teresa (# 366)
I'm also having trouble finding Aurobindo. I got it at a Walmart which is far from my home area. and for the news that aurobindo stopped its production, I don't know it yet, if any of you know, if you can share the info
Re: Lex (# 371)
Hi y'all, we all know what Mylan did like 5 years ago. First they were out of one strength then another and poof it was gone. Y'all hang onto your seats cause I'd bet Aurobindo is saying goodbye to lorazepam. I haven't seen it in any VA or Military base. Hope I'm wrong but it's better to be prepared for the worst. Still telling y'all they're going to eliminate benzos all together eventually.
Re: Deedee (# 7)
I was taking Watson. Leading lorazepam is exact same ingrediants as Watson. Works the same.
Very interesting/odd that Aurobindo is having availability issues. I'm not usually conspiratorial (really am not), but I have always wondered how Bausch (formerly Valeant and before that Biovail) could get away with charging thousands of dollars per month for brand name. They have a history of purchasing drugs and raising the prices on them. For there to be fewer and fewer lorazepam generics and then this brand name drug that costs thousands a month seems like a good set up for Bausch. Other brand name benzodiazepines are expensive, but more like hundreds per month, not thousands. What would make all these other companies like Mylan want to leave the market? I don't think Benzos are being taken off the market, but if they were, I think it would be a rescheduling (like a Schedule II drug instead of Schedule IV) and they'd go after Xanax first. Yet I haven't heard of Xanax generics disappearing, though admittedly I don't follow the news on that. Either there is something odd about the Lorazepam market economically causing all these companies to stop their production and seemingly the remaining ones to be worse quality, or it's been a strange series of coincidences, as I am on several other medications that have not changed brands or manufacturing sites for many, many years. Ativan is the only one that is like a revolving door.
Re: Teresa (# 366)
Why would Teva brand not eirk the same, same active ingredients
I was taking brand name Ativan for ~20 years as prn for anxiety. I had to stop taking it because it was contaminated (from the pharmacy).
The quality of the brand name has changed over time - it is not as smooth as it once was. The hospital i go to has also switch to valium due to said circumstances.
I have never taken a generic, but the brand name is not that great anymore. sad to say...
Re: Marcus (# 374)
Unfortunately the brand name is no longer the best buy. I will pay more money for a drug that is most consistent. This is no longer an option.
Re: Jibbs55 (# 372)
You are correct. They started to use valium and are switching to haldol and hydrazine!
Re: Tray (# 375)
Sandoz did it in 2014. And tried to tell people it's the same product. It went from a good medication to pure garbage. Took awhile but Sandoz finally shut down to make a new version which turned out to be just as bad
Re: Jibbs55 (# 363)
Hi Jibbs,
Thanks for your response. I was wondering if anyone here has anyone seen this:

Is Major a new generic for Lorazepam?
I am have Watson for about another month and I already have major anxiety regarding this; been on Watson may close to 20 years. I tried a 1/4 tab of TEVA and my throat felt like it was closing for about 4-5 hours, I have an epi pen, but did not use it. Would you guys attempt this pill again or no?
Larry
