Teva Lorazepam Reviews (Page 10)

I'm seeking insights and reviews on Teva Lorazepam and its comparison with Leading Pharma's version. There's a notable divide in user experiences. Some report Leading Pharma Lorazepam as being less effective or having no effect, possibly due to variations in the active ingredient, leading to side effects or adverse reactions in certain cases.

While there are those who recommend Teva Lorazepam for its efficacy, others find Leading Pharma's version more suitable. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try Teva Lorazepam since it's not available in my area – no local pharmacies dispense it.

My experience with other brands, post the discontinuation of Qualitest, hasn't been successful in finding a comparable alternative. I'm particularly interested in understanding how Teva Lorazepam and Leading Pharma's lorazepam differ in terms of effectiveness and user satisfaction.

If you've had experiences with either or both of these medications, your reviews would be incredibly valuable. Any insights into their efficacy, side effects, or overall satisfaction would greatly help me and others in our decisions.

This is a couple of years late, but...Walgreens stuck me with this brand, and that's the first thing I thought - file a complaint with the FDA. They should not be in business.

I take the brand Ativan from Bausch Health but unless your insurance will agree to pay their exorbitant cost it won't be an option. From what I've been reading here you might want to try the generic lorazepam from Aurobindo. CVS drug stores *might* order it for you or try an independent pharmacy in your area. Hope that helps.

Aurobindo or Aurolife is garbage. I take 2 mg and the purity is less than 1 mg.

The Only one that works is Mylan. Aurobindo or AEROLIFE TABLETS ONLY HAVE A SMALL AMOUNT OF THE ACTIVE INGREDIENT.

I TAKE A 2 MG TABLET FROM A CVS STORE (I WILL NOT SHOP CVS ANYMORE FOR VARIOUS REASONS, TOO EXPENSIVE) AND I have found that Aurobindo or Aurolife purity is SACRIFICED. In other words the one that CVS had just problems with other medicines that this company makes including generic Augmentin - the purity of the drug is almost non-existent.

I reported this to the FDA 6 months ago. The Lorazepam tablets that are 2 mg or something like 0.25% that's all I can tell because I've been taking the drug for 30 years this this company is a rip off. As the other pharmaceutical Walmart wanted to sell this leading brand out of Michigan or whatever they call them leading Pharmaceuticals in they're just as bad, probably much worse. It's like taking a placebo pill. I never took the leading brand but this is hearsay from other people and I believe them I will not take leading either. The best generic is Mylan.

I currently take Aurobindo, it’s not terrible.. but not as effective as Actavis (Teva). Mylan discontinued Lorazapem some time ago. And Leading for me is probably the least effective.

First, I've been on 2mg x 3 day lorazepam for 38 years. A few years ago my pharmacy switched to the Leading Brand - at first one notices it's rather thick and sweet. Reading this forum made me doubt its effectiveness. I warn others- everyone reacts differently to the fillers used by different manufacturers. People here are describing how their body/minds process these fillers hence the 'effectiveness' of the product. Some people adjust (as in my case)...while others remain convinced they are useless (and that's really all it takes to make them so.) I've taken the real Watson....and when sold to Teva they utilized the Watson molds to produce Actavis (though I've heard they will be putting the Actavis name on their product soon). The "Watson" you get today is Actavis. It took a while for the stored real Watson to be used up....when the "Actavis" Watson became available, no doubt with slightly different fillers, yes, I noticed a difference. Same feeling I had with Leading...didn't feel as effective. I spoke with one of the Corporates for Leading which is literally around the corner from me....they said because of the filler-difference it may take a while for the body to adjust....just when I was about to stage a one-man 1960's style protest outside their building...the Leading brand kicked in.....so, in summation....if you believe a brand will work...it will. If you don't....it won't unless you give your body and mind a chance to adapt...the "mind" being the most important because it can/will convince your body things don't work if you believe it strongly enough.

As a follow up to the Teva/actavis discussion... Just picked up my new prescription yesterday at Costco.....Teva bought out Actavis.....now the misused "Watson" no longer appears on the Actavis-bought by Teva 2mg tabs. Just "TV". Seems some Teva lorazepam is produced in Israel but most is produced in the United States....according to "hey Googles" find relating to Teva lorazepam.

It works....give your body time to adjust to the fillers....most people want immediate relief...I only got that with the brand Ativan and only when it was made by Wyeth...its the fillers that are giving people trouble... i too was one who had issues with Leading, Actavis, the old Watson (which gave the least issues)....with the new Teva, I don't expect much change from Actavis since Teva bought Actavis recently...but time will tell.

I agree big pharma are playing with the ingredients. Deviation here and there can be felt by the person who requires the medication and knows how it works and when something is different with the pill. Example you are use to taken a pill that requires water to swallow it when you come across a pill that melts in your mouth before you can reach for the water... all bets are off. I report this to the Food &Drug . If enough people do that than maybe something will be done because it is a real concern.

They use it in hospitals because it works!!! When they send you home you can't find a drugstore that carries it. So now we are back to placebo or deviation of the required ingredients. Another cost cutting savings on their part not ours because we are the recipient of their greed. Think about it, how can the real one cost thousands of dollars and the generic cost a few dollars. Greed!!!

I used to have the same melting issue with the name brand back when I first started using it back in the early '80's. I found letting it dissolve under my tongue seem to get it working even faster than swallowing it intact. Of all the generics I've taken, the fastest 'melter' was Leading even though it was the thickest.

Bausch Health will some day deal with themselves for raising the price on a medication that "is not" brand name. Just like Mylan with the EpiPen. I know y'all have seen my post about Wyeth selling it to Biovail. They turned it into a generic. Bausch Health bought it and never changed a thing. It's a generic plain and simple. Is it effective? Yes but no where near what it used to be. Aurobindo is for me the best generic available. It doesn't bother me it's made in India.
