It could be either or, but I'd be giving strong suspicion to the Bactrim, if it were me. It is a sulfa based antibiotic and has been known to cause odd side effects and bad reactions in many people that take it.

I had a very bad experience with it myself last summer, the reactions I suffered were worse than what I was taking it treat. It also caused a pretty high blood pressure elevation and as a heart patient, I'm lucky it didn't put me in danger.

Learn more Bactrim details here.

Even if she were to go to the hospital, it isn't likely they'll recognize it, unless the doctor has seen it before. I went when my glands got severely swollen and I was very ill and they just blamed the original infection. It wasn't until I started getting severe hives that it was finally connected to the Bactrim. I'm not listed as allergic to it and have to avoid it in the future.

How is she feeling now?
