With only half of the pill, so this site doesn't know the full imprint, it is going to be difficult to narrow down what this is. There are several possibilities, both among prescription medications and over the counter products.

Just as an example:

A white, oval, marked L484 is 500mgs of Acetaminophen, a generic, or store brand of Tylenol.

It could be half of this one is the imprint is kind of shallow and not well done, since it's an over the counter product.

Does anyone else have any ideas of what this could be?

If it is very small. And if it is not an imprint rather an actual print in black that says 84. It could be the generic for a serouil. I could be wrong in the spelling of it.

It's just asprin basically but watch out for any signs of addict behavior : asking for money , being overly agressive he might be headed down the wrong road take it from me I'm a 24 year old ex-addict and it could just be he simply needed it once and cut it in half to lower the mg. I truly hope the best for you and your son
