Help With The Cost Of Perscriptions
UpdatedMY DAUGHTER IS A BRITTLE DIABETIC, HAS RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS, AND HER THYROID IS VERY LOW. HER SON HAS ADD. SHE IS A SINGLE MOTHER AND WAS GETTING SOME HELP WITH INSULIN THRU HER DOCTOR. SINCE HE PUT HER ON A PUMP, NURSE SAID SHE HAD TO BUY THE INSULIN HERSELF. ON TOP OF THAT EACH TESTING STRIP COSTS $1.00 A PIECE AND HER INSURANCE DOES NOT PAY A DIME. SHE DESPERATELY NEEDS HELP. I AM HELPING WITH A PAST DUE DR. BILL SO THAT SHE CAN CONTINUE TO SEE HER DOCTORS. I WISH I COULD HELP HER MORE, BUT AM NOT ABLE. HER ARTHRITIS DR. WANTS HER TO START A DRIP. HER INSURANCE WILL HELP SOME WITH THAT, SHE THINKS. SHE HAS ALWAYS DONE THE RIGHT THING AS FAR AS CARRYING INSURANCE, NEVER ON WELFARE OR UNEMPLOYMENT, BUT STILL CANNOT AFFORD HER MEDICINES. I ALSO HAVE TWO MEDS THAT EVEN WITH MEDICARE AND AARP ARE TOO EXPENSIVE FOR ME TO TAKE AS DIRECTED. YOUR NAMES WAS GIVEN TO ME FROM A LOCAL WOMAN THAT RECEIVES HER PRESCRIPTIONS FREE THROUGH YOU. COULD YOU PLEASE HELP OR OR ADVISE US ON WHERE TO GO FOR HELP? THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ANY RESPONSE FROM YOU OR YOUR MEMBERS.
