On May 2012, I got my 1st Prolia injection. Four months later, I gradually started to have groin, hip, thigh and lower back pain on the right side. My rheumatologist says that I have severe osteoarthritis in my lower back and mild to moderateosteoarthritis in my right hip. I can still walk with some pain and bending to tie my shoes or put socks on is excrutiating. Sept. 2015 and I am still on Prolia. Could this be the cause of all my pain?

Yes, it is possible that it's due to the Prolia. Many people have experience such side effects from it, along with headache and dizziness, as listed by the FDA. In many cases, it has been so severe that they had to stop taking it.

Yes, it is a possibility that Prolia has caused this pain. Even my doctor at OrthoTexas, Frisco recommended me to stop using it.

After my 2nd prolia inj. I have had severe left hip and groin pain. I cannot sleep at night due to the pain. I had to start on oxycodone so I could sleep. I never had this problem before so I'm sure it's from prolia. I will not take it again.
