Tiredness can be due to a number of different things, including your father's choice of foods whether he is on insulin or not. It doesn't appear to be listed as a possible side effect of Fastin (Phentermine), but it is known to be pretty severe if one were to accidentally overdose on Glycomet (Metformin). This leads me to wonder if there are any sort of interactions between Metformin and food that might cause it's effects to be increased or amplified.

Also, the fact that he is on a few different medications could be a bit overwhelming on his system. If he's able to cycle through his meds, I think it may help determine the cause of this tiredness. However I wouldn't recommend dong so though until you speak with his doctor.

Does anyone else here have any information to add?
