Hi Everyone! Pharmacy tried to give me a new generic--I have always used generic- manufacturer for my Adderall 20XR: Global. I gave it back. Can anyone share their experiences with Global 20XR?

In the past when I've switched generic brands with 10mgIR I've had the same major issues that many people have described when switching brands--depression, paranoia, etc. As many people know, this type of thing can totally shut you down at work. Must avoid.

However, I just don't know Global--there's very little online discussion about the 20XR. If anyone has a review, please share! Maybe I will just go back and get it (man it's such a major hassle to go without it for a few days while they re-order something else).

BTW, I currently take Actavis 20XR and there are a *lot*of reviews on that--everyone hates it! But I find it ok. Ditto for Teva and Barr 20XR.

Hello, I do take generic Adderall XR 20mg made by Globalpharma. As far as I know, Globalpharma is the generic division of Impax Labs. The other manufacturer of generic Adderall XR is Teva which distributes the product through Actavis. Actavis is the generic division of Allergan and is owned by Teva. Teva may also distribute the product through Prasco. Another alternative may be Sandoz (Novartis) which in June 2016 has the right to distribute Adderall XR made by Shire (the original patent). Costco pharmacy may carry Sandoz Adderall or CVS, but I can't be sure. You could also ask your doctor to write a prescription for Brand Adderall XR so you can try it and see if you like it more than Globalpharma. Personally, I am ok with my Globalpharma Adderall XR, but I do not take it everyday. Here in Massachussets all one can find is generic Adderall XR made by Globalpharma. Apart from that, I tried the Teva and Corepharma (which is owned by Impax Labs) generic Adderall 20 mg tablets. Once I get used to the side effects they are both pretty good, but again I take maximum 10 mg twice a day. Good luck to you.

Well thank you very much, sir or ma'm. My ordeal here is over as my normal generic arrives at the pharmacy tomorrow. But it is good to know that at least one person has taken Global XR20 without the side effects that often accompany a shift in generic providers.

Re: Aohna (# 4)

I have taken Adderall for over 6 years and there is a significant difference between the Global 20mg extended release versus the Adderall brand 20 mg extended release. I vote all day long that global/impact Amphem Salts 20 mg capsule versuse the Adderall 20 mg XR, as printed on the capsules, are junk. I've taken the two at different times/batches and with different diets acidic/non acidic and it's the same result. Adderall XR gets a 10 rating and Impact Amphem Salts capsule gets a 2 rating on a scale of 1 to ten. I've heard this from a lot of people who take them.
