Getting Teva Brand Of Soma Filled (Top voted first)

Is it possible to get the Teva brand Soma dispensed when I fill my prescription? Are they the ones marked 2410V, or the Dan 5513 Soma?

Wow I have been getting these Oxford 'Pharmace' 0 111 Vanadom Soma for the last 9 months or so. I had never heard of Vanadom before and these are awful, smaller than a standard sized Soma and have rough surfaces, feels like a vitamin. I never complain about different generics, these Vanadom which are not new by any means suck

As of 7/21/21 the Teva availability was not good. There is a Soma shortage worldwide:

Reason for the Shortage:

- Teva has carisoprodol on shortage due to manufacturing delay

- Cadista discontinued carisoprodol tablets

- Endo Pharmaceuticals discontinued carisoprodol tablets

- Rising discontinued carisoprodol tablets

- Mylan has Soma tablets available

- Sciegen has carisoprodol tablets available

If you are asking me, I'll just take what I can get. I have no expectations with Rite Aid & their generic medicine. Perhaps I will take my next prescription elsewhere. We can clearly see from my post above that the choice in Soma is very limited right now

Thank you for the link! I usually just look at the FDA shortages page, but yours had more info re: generic adderall IR, specifically Aurobindo which I am convinced is fake Adderall to begin with. Your link says they refuse to say why they have an Adderall shortage but I’ll bet it is because they got busted scamming with counterfeit pills. Hahahaha

I AGREE WITH YOU 100% Aurobindo generic Adderall IR is an absolute joke. It made me so tired I could not function. I will go without before I take any medication from that manufacturer again!

Oxford is one of the best brands I've been on this for 14 years and I've tried all the brands. Oxford 0111, teva dan 5513 and method/vintage V 2410 are the best generics.

In most cases, you can't choose which generic product you receive, it is dependent on which one your pharmacy has in stock, and that is dependent on which one was offering the cheapest price, through their supplier, at the time they needed to restock their supply.

Soma/Carisoprodol is a muscle relaxant that is used to treat the pain, and spasms associated with muscle strains, and sprains. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, drowsiness, and sedation.

I don't take this medication, so I can't offer an opinion on any particular brand's product.

Have you tried asking your pharmacy which one they carry?

Did Oxford Pharma work as well for you as Teva? I've only been on Teva carisoprodol, one prescription was filled under Sciegen, I know it was horrible. Just picked up my script and it is by Oxford pharma.

Hi Amy, it's too hard to explain. I could tell you the brands I used that worked fine, these 111's seem horrible. But there is a bunch of horrible Soma (and Vanadom it seems) that we have seen in the past few years. I take Xanax and am always surprised on the complaints others post about their current brand, I've never experienced problems, it's a mind drug, and the brand I was claiming was terrible because they make horrible stuff (Aurobindo) actually made fine Xanax

I’m not so sure I like the Oxford brand. That’s what my pharmacy had this time, and I’m not feeling the same type of relief that I even do from Sciegen. Eddie, if you ever find out, Teva is going to like branch out and go to regular pharmacies, let us know.
