Geriflo contains 5mgs of Finasteride and 0.4mgs of Tamsulosin, it is used to treat urinary and prostate problems.

Side effects can include: impotence, abnormal ejaculation, erectile dysfunction and testicular pain.

What is the difference between Geriflow-D capsule and Geriflow-D tablet.
I am taking tablets for last 12 months.
What will be side effects
I am taking for prostate problem for frequent urination in day and night
Already some side effects have started like errectile ,sex etc

My father is 65yrs old for last few months he was feeling some obstructed urination & later he consulted a physician who has prescribed him some medicines including "Geriflow". His prostate is approx 50.22gm, haemoglobin=14.3, serum createnine=0.79, blood urea=16.1. He started felling normal after taking ten days medication & did some heavy physical work & in the mean time he discontinued his medicine "Geriflow" however the Dr. had suggested to take the medicines for 1 month. Then again he started having obstructed urination svere obstruction in urination & after continuing the medicine "Geriflow" again he has started feeling better. What should we do ? Should he undergo some surgery ? is there any laser surgery ? how musch these may cost ? is there any treatment in Hospitals like AIIMS or RML in Delhi ? Please suggest what should be done ? should we continue with present medications ?

My problem is totally solved.
I have discontinued the tablet now. No other medicine also required.

I am having post void dribbling particularly as soon as I get up in the morning . I drink three glasses of water as son as I get up. Afterwards urination is normal with free flow.
doctor prescribed Geriflo - D for one month. What is your advice in view of side effects.

Sir, my prostate impression is GRADE-II PROSTATOMEGALY, measures 45x40mm(Volume: 39cc). I am using Geriflo Tablets. Please suggest is it cures with this tablet or else any operation is needed in this stage for permanent cure. My age is 61 Years. So please advise what to do?. ASAP

I have been using Urimax F caps for the past 6-7 yrs for my prostate problems in the night before bedtime. but I have to every 2-2.5hrs go for urinating in the night which is not so in the day. now have been asked to use geriflo D once in the night for the problem. will it be advisable. in a recent check up, it was observed that volume of prostate is 35cc, and mentioning that it is mild prostatemaly. pre -void urine retention is 160cc, post void is 16cc. request to please advise. thanks.

Sir,my prostate impression is 33gms & postvoid is 95ml. My doctor has advised to take Geriflo - D for one month. Please let me know if this provides permanent cure or do I have to undergo surgery. My age is 67 yrs, diabetic. Also, please let me know if there are any side effects by taking this pill. Thank you.

Gall Bladder having Multiple small (Two Nos)mobile calculi. Urinary bladder is well distended with a pre void volume 320ml.shows presence of a narrow necked left posterolateral diverticula with a prevoid volume of 67 ml. post void urinary bladder residual volume is raised 104 ml.while the diverticula a post void volume of 34 ml.I am

My prostate is enlarged, weight is approx. 84gms.post void shows 20cc residual urine. scan impression; Findings s/o MILDCYISTITIS.Prostatic Hyperplasia Grade IV, I am
also Sugar Patient. I have just started Geriflo D tablets. Whether I have to go for surgery or this tablet can cure the problem. Kindly let me know whether it is minor surgery with least pain. What will be approx. surgery charges with medicines needed after surgery.
