On and off antidepressants for 20 some odd years. Some work better than others. The last one I was prescribed was Cymbalta a new one for depression and it just didn't seem show any improvement on my fatigue or my get up. Today I started on Oxazepam, does anyone know anything about that? New and needing help ## Oxazepam is a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety, and for its sedative like effects. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, irritability, mood changes, and drowsiness. Ref: Oxazepam Information Some new studies have been showing new information on depression, such as it not actually being caused by low serotonin as has been commonly believed, so this information may help impr...

severe bipolar disorder 11 yrs. diagnosed, one of many meds. at 80mg. hard to adjust with symptoms like a bad hangover. not that i drink anymore but dont have high hopes for this drug at 20 60 or 80mg because of reactions ## Being removed from risperdal and put on geodan. For first few days mild headaches. Tolerating stress better. Bipolar ## Typically, side effects tend to reach their peak around 4 to 5 weeks of taking a medication at one steady dosage, then they taper off in severity, until they disappear entirely, so if you just started it, then it is far too soon to judge how well it is, or isn't going to work for you. I have been taking Geodon for a few years now, 20 mg twice daily. Lately I seem to get very anxious after about six hours and need to take three pills daily. My insurance will only send me enough for two pills daily. I know that the half life is very short for Geodon. I am thinking about having my psychiatrist switch me to Abilify which has a long half life. My concern is how difficult it will be to make the switch. Will I still get withdrawal symptoms from Geodon even after my body gets used to Abilify? I would like any input from anyone who has made the switch. ## Hello Terry, Unfortunately because the active ingredients are different it is likely you will experience the withdrawal symptoms to some degree. It is difficult to say to which extend you will be experiencing the symptoms as...

I just got switched to geodon myself about 3 weeks ago at 80mg a day. I feel the same bouncing around everywhere. BLUE AND WHITE CAPSULE ## what is this used for. What it is in it ## Pfizer lists this capsule as being a 20mg Geodon tablet, which contains the active ingredient Ziprasidone. It is used to treat various types of mental health disorders. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood changes, somnolence, and weight changes. The inactive ingredient list for this one is very short and my include: lactose, magnesium stearate, though it may vary depending on the manufacturing facility. The original post is a bit old, I think, so that is all the information I have been able to find on it. Pfizer might have stopped producing it, or changed the imprint codes. Is there anything else I can help with?

Has anyone else experienced this? ## my doctor started me just 5 days ago. i take it with lamictal. Well I am just now reading about it and so far not too happy. About three hours after taking it i have to go to sleep. No choice. Today I can't shake it. Slept 31/2 hrs and still tired, after 10 hrs last night.
