Been on cymbalta ( and Teva generic ) for now 8yrs. (60mg) Starting to lately feel like the med is not quite the same in efficacy as a year ago.
Wondering if I can get insurance to cover some of brand name again if things might pick up?

Hello, Howard! How are you?

It is normal for our bodies to get used to anything we ingest regularly for a long period of time and for it to stop working as well. Thus, after 8 years, you most likely need to try a different medication for awhile.

What condition are you taking it to treat?

If the SNRIs, such as this, work best for you, there are others you can try, such as Effexor, Pristiq and Savella.

The FDA lists them all as possibly causing similar side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes.
