Gemer 1 & Gemer 2

I am taking "GEMER 1" Tablets, as I am diaognised as "TYPE 2 Diabetes Patient", but its been now almost 10 Months & I feel very lazy at times during the day or night & my both legs pains. I take one tablet in the morning before Breakfast & one tablet in the night. Want your advise if I am taking the right medicine as priscribed by my Doctor or should I change my medication or should I increase my dosage. For 3 Months or so when my "GEMER 1" Tablets were finished, the doctor told me to take "GEMER 2", half in the morning & half in the night. Now as my stock of Gemer 1 has come, so I am again taking "GEMER 1".

What has your doctor said about your going back to the Gemer 1 and about your other symptoms? What have your blood sugar levels been at? Gemer contains the active ingredients Metformin and Glimepiride, which are both oral antidiabetic medications. However, only your doctor can help you determine what is causing your symptoms and what the best medication is for you to use.

Hi Shabbir, I am not a doctor, but done some research, as my parents also have diabetes. All Diabetic medicines contain metformin, and from my research, I have learnt that metformin reduces one's Vitamin B12 levels. Many diabetics have to take Vitamin B12 supplements. Maybe the cause of your problems is also low levels of B12. By the way, my mum also has the same issues, and I learnt from the doctor about this. Take a test and see. Also, if by chance you do have low levels of B12, and the doctor puts you on supplements be sure that your body will be able to absorb the B12 tablets/capsules. As for some patients, it is difficult for their bodies to absorb the Vitamin B12 tablets/capsule supplements, and hence injection is the best way to be sure that the body is taking in the supplement. We had also wasted almost 1 year and a half in realizing that my mother's body could not absorb the supplements. The doctor said that too is a common case. So I would suggest, you get a vitamins level test first.

I am taking gemer-2 500mg before breakfast and gemer-2 500 mg before supper. My glucose level is 125 while fasting and 150 in post prandial. Is it an appropriate treatment option or should I change medicine? If so, what medicine works better?

My Hba1c is 8 but post lunch sugar is high around 300 sometimes, so worried. Taking Gemer-2 three times with istavel 50 three times a day. Please suggest.
