I've used Paregoric for 15 years and can't find it. Is there anywhere in the U.S. or other countries where this can be purchased? ## I have been on paregoric therapy for at least 18 years myself. (not to mention Sandostatin, Lomotil & Pamine) Have had occasions the past few years when it was not available, and now I am told the manufacturer has discontinued it. (royal pain) so Dr has now RXd tincture of opium - much less to take, but the stuff tastes like cat s**t (not that I ever tasted cat s**t) - I was hoping to find paregoric again, maybe from Canada - I'm still looking - let me know if ya wanna chat more & / or if you find a source. I've been taking Flu-gone. Now my stomach is hurting and I'm experiencing a lot of constipation with a lot of flatulence. Are these known side effects? Please help. ## I told my GI that I had bloating & gas that would present every day around noon or a little later. He told me to take probiotics and they worked for me. Good luck.

I am a colon cancer survivor. Due to losing 9" of large intestines and all but 1" of rectum, I experience severe diarrhea and resulting horrendous rectal pain. My oncologist prescribed Tincture of Opium. As the name implies, this is serious medicine. I nursed my first prescription so it lasted four years (Feb. 2006 to Feb. 2010), second prescription three years (Feb. 2010 to June 2013). When I picked up third prescription and got home with it, it did not look the same and the name was different, "C-Morphine 10 MG/1ML SUSP AKA-Opium Tincture #118". So silly me, I thought it was a generic. The first time I had an episode of diarrhea and the accompanying rectal pain, I was bedridden for hours before the pain eased off to an endurable ache. My husband has these symptoms all the time. Had been told by a GI doctor to use Gas-X. I also bought baby colic drops. Nothing seems to help much anymore. Had endoscopy & colonoscopy, both normal. ## He may have abdominal adhesions. They do not appear on any type of scans as they are transparent. I had a series of colonoscopies over a 5 year period. They came up normal until the last one where the gastro dr could not get the scope through my intestines. At that point they determined the adhesions had entangled my intestines. Does anyone know which pharmacies carry Tincture of Opium? I live in Texas and have been taking it for four years for uncontrollable diarrhea and HAVE to have it. I started Cimzia 10 days ago. I had a reaction about day 4 as the medication was absorbing, with getting a big white ring around the 2 injection points, about 4 inches wide. So far I haven't felt anything else, or improvement to my RA, etc. I was able to find in another forum a thread about the white rings being the medication absorbing, so I blew it off. But I then noticed a mole on my chest wall has a lump, plus the white ring, only it was 1 inch across. My doctor is unconcerned. But, does it sound normal to have this reaction at a mole, not the injection sites? I took tryptomer 10 mg in the night after food as per my doctor who prescribed it along with other medicines for my severe stomach burning sensation. I am happy to say that I did not get up at 2 am early in the morning as usual but got up at 7.30 am in the morning. But I am feeling drowsy today throughout the day and am not able to do my routine work. I would like to find out whether there is any lesser dose available in the market or if I have to use half of the tablet? Please suggest the remedy.

I had a CT scan to see if I had a hernia. It showed an "impacted colon" but I was never referred to anyone. I had an "incomplete cleanse" for my colonoscopy, and it seems, that would be why. There many different things that can cause you to have frequent bowel movements and the best solution is usually getting to the root of that and correcting the problem. It could be something you are eating, another medication you are taking or any one of several other options. My 93 year old father has a stomach problem when eating and feels bad all the time. Help please so he can eat. My father is getting so thin. Please help him enjoy some food.
