Glyx-13 Open Label Update

GLYX-13 open label study is now scheduled to begin in June, according to my local study center. I will update as I get more info.

What is an open label study? Is is another trial? AND CAN ANYONE SAY HOW ONE GETS TO PARTICIAPATE IN THE STUDY??
I just learned about GLYX-13 and have been trying to find out what's going on with it. I've been depressed all my life, have tried everything I can think of, and nothing helps. Not drugs, not exercise, not psychotherapy, not meditation…. I got to the point I just wasn't willing to try anything else anymore. But this sounds different, and hopeful. I would be so grateful if I could get help...

An open label trial is basically a type of clinical trial in which both the researchers as well as the participants know what treatment is being administered.

The link below actually shows that there are two active studies currently recruiting participants for GLYX-13:
clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/results?term=GLYX-13&Search=Search

However, neither of them mention being "open label" studies. Both I found state that they are either single or double blind studies. The only one that IS an open label study, doesn't begin until next month (August 2014), and they are expecting an estimated 100 people to enroll.
