Sertraline, the active ingredient in Zoloft, is a SSRI antidepressant and, unfortunately, in some people its affect on this brain chemical can have the opposite effect of what is desired.


This probably means that it just isn't the right medication for you. Have you contacted your doctor about trying something else?
