Fortesta At Night
(Newest replies first)

Updated

I've been taking Fortesta in the morning, but as I'm always rushing, sometimes I forget. I would rather take at night - helps me maintain a more reliable schedule - is that a huge problem? I know all the literature seems to indicate to take in the AM.

Also, I am currently on four pumps. Is that a normal/typical dose and how many of you guys have experienced weight gain with this. Thanks,

Sure, you could change your application schedule to afternoon/evening. However, twelve hours later that would leave you w/o the testosterone boost of absorption during the day.
Your body depletes the extra testosterone by the twelfth hour. You still would maintain your higher amount of testosterone through dosing. You just wouldn't have the early boost to assist you during the day.
The absorption is on a twelve hr cycle. You begin to feel the surge after one hr, peaks at 4 hrs and back to your baseline at twelve hrs. The sweet spot in the peak is the second through the fifth hr. The absorption at one hr correlates w/eighth hour,
Out of the twelve hr peak/trough cycle you have seven that are noticeably above your baseline reading. Of that there's three hours of peaking from around the second hour after dosing to the fifth hour.
Regardless of time starting application you will feel the surge one hr later for seven hrs maintaining the same baseline dependent upon amount of dose. I moved my application to late afternoon one year ago, but I do not work during the day.

Hello, JT! How are you?

The instructions do say to use it in the morning and it is know that our hormones can fluctuate throughout the day, so there may be good reason they tell you to use it then. Thus, I'd suggest asking your doctor, before you make the change.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.

Is there anything else I can help with?
