I am married. Its been a year since we got married. As per doctor's prescription I have started taking follic acid tablet. Folvite MB

Each soft gelatin capsule contains:
Follic Acid I.P. 5mg
Methylcobalamin 1500mcg
Pyridoxine Hydrochloride I.O. 1.5mg
Approved Color used:
Lake Erythrosine & Titanium Dioxide I.P.

I have started using this tablet regularly for past two months. My menstrual cycle will vary from 30 days to 32 days. After I used this tablet, I got my periods in 29 days. I just wanted to know if there is any side effects with this tablet. For past three to four days, i feel nausea. My periods is due today. I am happy if I am pregnant. But, i am afraid if nausea is the side effect of this tablet. Please help.

It is a nutritional supplement, so it may cause nausea in some people as a side effect, it's fairly common with the high dose B vitamins.

But the only way to know for sure is to have yourself checked for pregnancy.

Have you consulted your doctor, yet?

I stopped using the tablet. I got my periods too. Nausea stopped. So, i doubt if its the side effect of the tablet. I consulted my family doctor over phone. He asked me to stop the tablet for a while. Even he says it will not be a side effect. Still its a mystery for me.

I was given an injection for treating an unruptured ectopic pregnancy and was also prescribed the folvite mb (folic acid + methycobalamin) and pydroxine hydrochloride capsules. I want to know why I'm supposed to take this?
