Flixotide (fluticasone) Side Effects

Flixotide was prescribed for me and by the 3rd day I was experiencing stomach pain, weight gain, and nausea. Anybody else experience this?

Fluticasone is a steroid class medication, so those can be normal side effects, you may also experience headache, acne, nervousness, and insomnia.

How long will you be taking it? How are you doing, now?

I was on pulmicort turbohaler for 2 mths didn't agree with me bloated stomach nausea ,told my dr he didn't think it would cause weight gain I did,!!he changed me to flixotide has anybody experienced weight gain or problems with this med??

I feel same effects from flixotide also pulmicort turbohaler the bloating has me really worried seems to have made my symptoms worse feel like bloated stomach pressing on lungs ,all dr says is give it bit longer !I feel like stopping straight away bit worried about stopping that I would get side effects from stopping but it's only been 3 mths so maybe be ok. Happy 2020 all.

I've been on flixotide about a month. Before that pulmicort turbohaler for 2 mths. Seems both corticosteroids make me bloated, makes breathing worse than when I was just taking ultibro once a day as preventer plus my Ventolin when needed. Only reason the new dr I have put me on corticosteroids was he thought I was using my Ventolin too often. I explained to him that my house is in bush fire area and smoke was making it hard plus keeping windows doors closed didn't help. He just didn't seem to understand. Every time I mentioned bloating nausea from corticosteroids he says give it bit longer. I really don't want to. Would I get withdrawal symptoms after taking them for this short time and just go back to my Ventolin an continue with ultibro once a day now that smoke and fires are gone? My dr is on holiday for 6 weeks now. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks
