I have horrible daily pain due to my L5S1 disc is almost completely collapsed and now my L4/5 is bulging and torn. Plus last MRI showed changes in my bone due to long term degenerative disc disease. Anyways I've seen my pain dr for almost 10 yrs. I've also seen two surgeons after doing 33 procedures who told me I need to do a double fusion yet I know a lot who haven't had a good result plus I'm a hair dresser so I have to be able to stand all day. I've really liked my dr but because of all the dr getting in trouble writing meds my pa is to scared to write what works best for me he said the dr over him said no one can be on it from now on. He's tried others but they don't help my pain half as good. Plus I don't want to just call asking if they will write the ones that work for me. I'm all for going in and meeting with them but I'm hoping to not do that many times. I've seen some posting with list dr who prescribe it. Is there one for Las Vegas that way I can call and make a appt to consult with them?

Hi Ray ~
I also have horrible pain. Pain Institute of Nevada is one pain clinic. Dr. Lemper is another. Dr. Burkhead is another and Dr. Valdes. I don't know if you will get 150 mg daily though. That I suppose depends upon your weight etc. DEA is cracking down HARD out here. We have a huge problem with people getting pain pills who don't even have pain and then those plus others selling their pills. It's affecting the real patients in a very negative way. Good Luck.

Thanks I did see burkhead before because he was my pa dr so he just did procedures I always got my meds from Steve. I'm a good patient not like the ones who turn and sell them. I'm getting really fraustrated cause Percocet 10 6/day and methadone 10 3/day worked great than he all of a sudden said he won't write it and changed me to nucynta which was horrible for me then went to opana ir and opana er that helped with th pain but I've been having problems with my heart and the endocrinologist and cardiologist both said they believe its the opana so I told him that and now he put me on the duragesic patch which I asked for the lower dose than what gave me well that made me start shaking and really angry inside I called and told them but still haven't heard back. Yes I understand dr are scared but your writing one for another and most of the time they are stronger than what your on. I just want to feel and function normally again. I haven't been able to sleep for 2 weeks cause the pain is so bad since all I have is norco which i told him didn't work and he said I know. How many more times?! I just want to get back on the 10mg 3/day and 10mg 6/day. Do you see either of those drs?

I had heard of lemper before and I called their office they don't take my insurance and said it'd be $400 for my first visit. So I went into my dr and gave him back the patches (when he switches you he wants the others back) which I understand and is fine. He wrote morphine sulfate er which I told him the ir didn't agree with me. His reply was this is the only thing left, at that point I started crying, then he said well lets try it again cause there's nothing else I can write. I'm so frustrated that I can't get what worked for me. I know the dea is cracking down but I do drug panels every 6 months, never get anything early, did a cheek swab ect.

Call Desert Treatment clinic in Henderson Nevada. Their 2 doctors who actually care about people like you and I. I have chronic pain due to Lupus and fibromyalgia and also need to be on my feet not feeling like I'm passing out from my dose. Good luck. I know how you feel
