Last month they started me on fenofibrate 145mg. I am worried as I only have one kidney and with this med my kidney hurts and my stomach hurts! My question is should I even be on this drug with one kidney?

I would suggest having it checked out by your doctor, this medication has been known to cause some kidney issues, including kidney failure, according to the FDA reports.

Are you on any other medications?

If you are taking this to lower cholesterol, you should be aware that recent studies are casting doubt on the necessity of doing so, several peer reviewed reports found that having high cholesterol does not raise the risk of heart disease, heart attack, or etc. Of course, as with any given finding, more research is needed, before things are completely certain, so proceed with caution and review the NIH information on it, which is updated regularly.
