Does this pill help anyone produce a bowel movement? I swear I have to go within 30 minutes of every time I take this pill. Feedback please! ## Yes, it can cause that as a side effect in some people that take it, according to FDA reports. You may also experience nausea, stomach pain, and flatulence. Are you on any other medications? How often do you take it? Do you get diarrhea, or just a regular bowel movement? ## I take 20mg every morning, along with aspirin, blood pressure medication & a beta blocker. At first i got diarrhea from it then my body got use to it. Now it works like a dream. On some days if I have a morning workout I do not take Famotidine. I was prescribed it after an Aortic Dissection surgery and I wish I knew about it decades ago. I've just learned that I can b...

Trying to figure out what kinda of pill this is found it in my sons ## I really need to find out what kinda pill my son is taking ## Is there any chance that the marking on the pill was read upside down? I'm only asking because the imprint "L194" comes up as a small white round pill by the name of Famotidine 20 mg; a medication used to treat stomach ulcers / acidity. For verification, the size of this pill is reportedly 8.00 mm and manufactured by Major Pharmaceuticals with a National Drug Code of 00904-5780. NOTE: You can click on the NDC link for an actual image of the pill. Unfortunately I haven't come across any other specific details on the alternative imprint "4617", but if anything I hope this at least helps to narrow down the possibilities of further sear...

I have a pinkish colored decent sized pink pill. There are no markings on it just a line down the middle on one side. I also I have the same pills in white. Plain white and oval with just a line down the middle on one side. Anyone know what these are? ## I'm sorry, but without any markings, it is going to be difficult to determine exactly what these tablets contain. We can rule them out as being a U.S. manufactured prescription product, because they are all required by law to have an imprint to enable their identification. However, it they could be over the counter products and there is a small chance that they could be foreign medications. Where were they found/obtained? ## It is Famotidine, or pepcid. ## I have the same type of pills and two different colors of pink and one whitis...

I have been on famotidine for about 6 weeks and the one side effect ringing in the ears are horrible. The ringing is so loud, I'm thinking of not taking it anymore. ## Hello, Kathy! How are you doing? Has there been any change? The FDA does list that as a possible side effect of this medication, along with nausea, flatulence, and dizziness. Have you informed your medical provider? There are other antacids that you can try to see if they may work better for you.

It is a small, circular, peach colored pill that has the number 20 stamped on one side, and the other side is uninscribed. There are no scorings or other markings. The '20' appears to be stamped in Helvetica. When chipped with a razor, the peach color is a thin coating that rubs off easily. Any thoughts? ## This imprint is rather obscure, so I can't be completely sure… However, I have had a 20mg Famotidine tablet that matches this description. It is classified by the FDA as an antacid, a generic for Pepcid, that is used to treat or prevent heartburn, GERD, ulcers and gastritis. Typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness and flatulence. I'll keep looking to see if I can confirm this. Does anyone else recognize this tablet?

It had a line on one side and an s on the other side very small and orange ## Hi lulu, I haven't found a definitive match, but from what little bit I could gather there are reports suggesting that this particular pill may contain 40mgs of Famotidine (Durater), made by a company called Senosiain Labs in Mexico. If this is the case, it would help explain why references are so hard to come by on US search engines. Apparently they list it as being "peach" colored and not orange. It's also reported to be about a quarter of an inch in diameter; but maybe you could try contacting the manufacturer directly to see if they can verify this for you. More details (although in spanish) on this medication from Senosiain Labs can also be viewed here: senosiain.com.mx/assets/files/pdf/ex...
