I'm on probation and went in to take my random U/A yesterday. I thought I had nothing to worry about cause I don't do drugs. The dipstick test came back positive for benzos and they said they are sending it to the lab. I am currently taking cephlaxin (keflex) bactrim ds and tramadol. I read that the bactrim can cause a false positive. When it goes to the lab will they see that there aren't benzos in my system? I'm kinda freaking out.

Yes, if they sent it to the lab for testing they will be able to tell there is no benzos in your system.

I came up dirty for cocaine while on these antibiotics; they said a significant amount! Challenge any false results. Labs are supposed to keep your sample for some time and if they don't have your sample to test it again, the first results are null and void!

I had them do an oral swab. Will that come back the same or true that I am not on any benzos? I am only on methadone and adderall. I have not taken anything else. I only have changed in my life eating tons of chocolate, sweets, sugar and pop, never water.

I had a positive drug screen for benzos and the only thing I have used is Orajel , I just had upper and lower dentures done and I have been coating my entire mouth with Orajel 3 times a day and before bed. Could that be the cause of the positive drug screen?

I'm in a Suboxone clinic and my drug screen turned up a false positive for benzos. I take Mucinex DM 12 hr two times per day. I need to know if this has been the culprit. I had taken Xanax 3 x 2mg tablets on March 7th. It is now the 16th of May. It has been long enough for the Xanax be gone. I am a 59yr old male. I have COPD and high blood pressure, so I also take the following meds: Spiriva, Lisinopril, Omeprazole, Amlodiprine, Chantix, Gabapentin, and Flonase.
