False Positive For Alcohol

I'm taking zantac, protonix and a weight loss drug called clk.

Hi alexis,

I was unable to locate any specific details on zantac or protonix being known for causing a false positive on alcohol. However, what I did find was that Zantac (ranitidine) may test positive for methamphetamines & that Pantoprazole (Protonix) may test false positive for THC.

I'm not sure of the abbreviation used for the weight loss drug you also mentioned in your description; so if you could clarify that, it'll be good opportunity to find another match for this false positive. Thanks!

I'm taking prescribed 10mg oxycodone. I just had ankle surgery. They covered my leg and foot with iodine. I've taken some zantac and ibuprofen as well. I haven't drank in 2 1/2 yrs. My urine test showed clean for everything but positive for alcohol. What can cause a false positive for alcohol?

I have chronic migraines and take 5-325mg norco. I tested positive two times for alcohol on a scram bracelet and DID NOT drink... How is that possible???

My son that takes Concerta recently failed a breathalyzer test, and I was wondering if the Concerta can cause a false breathalyzer test? He didn't smell like alcohol, nor did he seem the slightest bit like he'd been drinking, doing tricks on his bike, running and talking ect and he had been with me for the most part all day.

I recently failed a test for etg in drug court and I absolutely don't drink. I'm wondering if diflucan, flagyl, the yeast infection or the vaginal bacterial infection might be the cause for the failed test?
