Fake Yellow V 3601 (Page 3)

Updated

I refilled my prescription and received some yellow 10/325 vicodin. I normally take my dose and feel so much better, but the ones I just got make me so so sick. I vomit and feel hungover. I am concerned these are a bad batch or something I need them for my pain but am so scared to take these particular ones again. How can I tell if they are fake and/or bad? Please help.

I am on oxycodone/acetaminophen 10-325 tb. They are white oval tablets with A333 on them. I'm assuming they are generic, they don't work very well. Am I correct?

Did you ever find out if they were fake? I have 1/2 one way and 1/2 the other way??

I received a bad rx of the same yellow Vicodin. They were totally ineffective and tasted like chalk. Also fell apart when I broke in half.

Hey Ooze....I have the same issues with spelling...on here...or elsewhere. It's actually worse on Facebook. But... I'm just wondering why it's like that. Ppl say stuff like; "I'm threw with him"! A few years ago, I heard a Chemistry professor grumbling about "the systematic dumbing down of the nation's youth", as a way to groom a generation of ignorant voters "they" could easily control. At first, I just dismissed it as the usual way that older generations bemoan younger ones. But then, I see all this "word butchering" online & I sometimes wonder (WANDER is used a lot instead of wonder) that perhaps his rambling may have had more truth to it than I was willing to admit.

Also easy way of spotting fakes for example: ip 209, where the 2 curves on the bottom. If you look closely it looks like an imprint of a very small triangle. "Easier to see if you look in the light". Matter of fact all 2's should have it on pain medicine. It's so hard to explain without actually showing you. I worked for a pharmacy. Sold a man his regular prescription, man came back next day with 20 gone and meds I sold were replaced with fakes trying to say we shorted him and gave him counterfeit. I showed my boss (an actual pharmacist for 30 years) and he showed me. Explained that is the trademark. Anyways we refused to take them back from the customer so he got all upset and left, never saw him again. Then literally a month later someone from a different pharmacy had told us a story about a man doing that to his pharmacy and he explained the same thing my boss did. It turned out to be the same customer. Crazy...

It doesn't really matter it's all a manufacturing thing. Say all of them are going down a belt and printed with the numbers then they go down a different belt in however they land as long as the numbers are side down the v can be printed upside down or right side up from the numbers it's not anything to worry about. Doesn't mean anything. Some candies out there are the same

Honestly they can have anything in them. Once u notice u have fake ones, I wouldn't take them. There could be all kinds of different crap. Some fake percocet apparently have illicit drugs in them. Gross.. Please be careful what ever u decide to do.

The fake ones have a bigger flag on the 1 and the edges are usually crumbly and they're not as thick as they are supposed to be, they're quite easy to break and the 6 is not supposed to have a hard point where the line meets the o, it should be a smooth curve. The insides are inconsistent, real ones should have a slight Sparkle and be consistently the same color throughout the entire pill. And be careful as the fake ones are often pressed with fentanyl because it's cheaper and more profitable and you still feel something, just not what you're supposed to. Easy way to tell is Google 3601 pill press and also Google the pill itself and look at the differences in the v and the 6 and the 1 etc... Just get them from your doctor if you need em... You're welcome.

As a NP, let me explain. Hydrocodone/acetaminophen is a generic name- there are a ton of brand names (Vicodin, Lortab, Norco) that all have their own generics as well-and there are over 40 manufacturing companies for this medication. There is also a hydrocodone mixed with ibuprofen -(Vicoprofen) or hydrocodone mixed with diphenhydramine (Tussinex). The pills can vary, from color to size to the imprint on them. Some have specs in them, some don't. They can be red, green, blue, yellow – it is based on the dosage you have and the manufacturer. Some are easy to break in half and some are hard. Often this is due to the length of time it sits on a pharmacy shelf -The older a pill is, the easier it will be to break it in half. The ones I'm reading the most about are the yellow ones, with a V on one side and the number 3601 on the other. It does not matter if the numbers are upside down, how they are spaced or anything like that – that is based on manufacturing. Some people don't have the same relief when taking different generic forms of what is manufactured, or even the brand form. There is NOT an extended version of hydrocodone- it is considered a breakthrough medication; a short term medication, meaning they last 4 to 6 hours. If you get a different manufacturer from your pharmacy – and have been getting them from that pharmacy for a while, the pharmacist should tell you there's a new manufacturer. It should also say on your bottle what the pill looks like. Percocet is a different medication altogether –it is "oxycodone" with Tylenol mixed in it versus "hydrocodone" with Tylenol mixed in it-they also have oxycodone plain – without added Tylenol, liquid and sublingual tablets. medication obtained legally through a pharmacy and doctors prescription will not be fake. It will most likely not be less potent as this is highly regulated by the FDA.

You may see some issues if the medication has been sitting on the shelf for a long time – that typically only happens in very small pharmacies and very small towns. When buying pills off the street, people don't typically put other opiates or narcotics into a "fake pill" and attempt to sell it. What they do is they get an over-the-counter medication (Motrin – Excedrin – Midol) scrape off the number or imprint and use a Dremel to imprint a new number on it. That is why you need to look up the number on a pill and make sure it's the right thing. It is very foolish to purchase pills off the street – sadly that's an indication that you have a problem and need help. The formulary for hydrocodone, oxycodone and even OxyContin have changed dramatically over the last two years. It is broken down into smaller molecules in order to attempt to make addiction more difficult, and to make it less effective if taken inappropriately. This was done by the pharmaceutical companies to help with the opiate crisis in America. If you have a prescription from a pharmacist, the pill matches what the bottle says it should – and you don't feel like you're getting the same effect – you can talk to your pharmacist. Perhaps the pill was sitting on the shelf for too long – or opened and not properly stored, or you may have developed a tolerance to that amount. With pain control, it is important to make your pharmacist part of your team. I am not preaching – but if you find yourself buying pills off of the street, you will continue to be asking yourself if it is a fake pill, cut with something that is extremely harmful and could cost you your life. I hope this helps answer some questions.

There's a thing called "placebo effect".... which is your brain playing games on you. For instance, ,, I take 10 at work, n don't feel em. But I take the exact 10 at home n I feel em. Just something to take into account
