Fake 8mg Dilaudid

Does anyone know how to tell if a Dilaudid is fake, specifically the 8mg ones that is triangular shaped with rounder corners, white, and 8 on one side and the to of the letter p on the other side, but the p are both going different directions. So one normal letter p and the other is upside letter p. The letter p's are separated by a straight line between them. I am trying to figure out how I can tell if I have a fake one or not. I do notice they are very shiny, but not sure if they normally look like that.

There is a tablet with the Pd 8 marking that is manufactured by Purdue Pharma which matches this description, they list it as being an 8mg Dilaudid tablet.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

How I found best way to tell if fake is it will NOT break. Had friend who got one and it just wouldn't crush. That's my advice. Hope it helps

While some claim that method is a detection tip, Frankly it's ineffective and usually inaccurate. When giving advice on IDENTIFICATION protocol of meds stronger then morphine one should know what they are talking about. So if the drug doesn't match known ID descriptors and the image is inconsistent, chances are it's a counterfeit. When all else fails, cost and the price per tablet paid should be the final consideration. Now of course if it was obtained through traditional means via legitimate pharmacy, a couple of phone calls to competing stores will bare out the authenticity of this product.
