Eye Lid Drooping
(Newest replies first)

Updated

Hello. I’m Rick. I was wondering about an issue with my left eye drooping when I get up in the morning. Someone mentioned it could be an eye allergy so I bought Visine allergy drops and it helps for like 3 hours then it starts to droop again, then I put the drops in and it’s fixed again. Just wanted some opinions. Also, I forgot to mention my eyebrow moves upward towards my hair and when I use the drops it relaxes again. Thanks for any thoughts.

I have a tingling sensation on my left hand and I've been taking Neurobion forte for almost a year but did not get any relief although tolerable, lately, I had a very painful swollen wrist and the tingling gets worsened. My golf mate told me to take decilone forte 4mg and it was quite a relief because the pain almost subsided, but the tingling of my hand remained but tolerable, I just want to ask how many tablets I can take in a day and the duration of time without compromising my health, thanks very much.

I have a similar issue with my right eyelid. It droops slightly at times. It all started back when I was drinking heavily (i'm a recovering alcoholic). It doesn't droop much and it's probably not that noticeable to other people but it does bother me. I wonder if I may have had a mini-stroke at some point that is causing it.

Somedays it doesn't seem to droop at all, unless I lack sleep or take certain medications. My smile is ever so slightly off on the right side too which kind of reinforces the idea that in my case it could have been ischemia. Not for sure though because my right eye is also always slightly bloodshot to the right of my iris.

Sounds like we both could use a trip to an Ophthalmologist for starters. I've been putting it off for too long.

Have you consulted your medical care provider? Do you have any diagnosed medical conditions? Do you take any medications on a regular basis?

The FDA lists the typical optical issues from allergies as including eye redness, tearing, itching, and general irritation, but drooping it not a normal issue associated with them.

How much sleep are you getting each night? What eye drops are you using?

Given your very limited information, it is hard to know what might be causing this issue.

My sister has a similar issue, but it was due to her experiencing Bell's Palsy, years ago.
