I am having cataract surgey. My Dr put me on 4 different eye drops. They were very expensive. Are they really necessary for this surgery? ## Hi Mary, May I ask the names of all 4 eye drops you were prescribed? If I know what you have, I will be able to do some research and answer your question to the best of my ability. ## Moxifloxacin + Ketorolac + Prednisolone + Brimonidine Very expensive... Who is the best discount prescription plan like GoodRx, which I find also pretty expensive and sometimes more expensive than single care?

I saw an ad on TV for eye drops and don’t remember the name but it starts with the letter P. Does anyone know the full name? ## Hi George, check the list of drugs on the Vision / Eye Health category page (you have to scroll down a bit and then do to the letter P). Are any of those the drug that you were prescribed?

I have tried three different eye drops that have previously helped me. Can you help me Pease? hank you for the advice. ## Yes, they are the same, they both contain the active ingredient Perindopril, which is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Do you have any allergies that you know of? The symptoms you're experiencing with your eyes could be allergy symptoms.

Ophthalmologist prescribed PREFRIN eye drops for red eyes nearly 20 years ago. Is it available now? My problem is allergic in nature (itchy eyes = angular conjunctivitis mild at inner angles of eyes ). Appreciate response from OLD-TIMERS. ## I have had prefrin prescribed approximately 25 years ago and I use this daily although cautioned by optomotrists that this could lead to a permanent red vessel eye condition. I do however find these drops comfortable to use and the removal of red in my eyes. I can no longer find this product and pharmacies all indicate"out of stock". I assume that the product is no longer available and perhaps I could be informed of a replacement or alternative product. Information would greatly be appreciated. ## I used to use Prefrin in the 80's & ...

This is an antibiotic ointment, so no, it will not do anything to help with any lupus symptoms. What medications are you on for it? ## Hi ! I m wonder if "hypo tears" (eye drops) could be find in Mexico, I was using them for almost 20 years for eye dryness but it's been discontinued , let me tell that I have tried every single eye drops over the counter and none of them works for my condition, also was prescribed "Restasis") by my Eye Dr. and nothing has happened I still have 2 boxes sealed I was on this med for 90 days accordingly to directions. Hi. I am a 24 year old girl. For the last two days I've felt pain in my left eye and swelling. My doctor prescribed me Taxim-O-200 and also tells me that if it happens next time you'll have to use power spect, but right now my eye sight is ok. Please tell me if everything will be ok with me? ## Hello, Sunny! How are you? This is an antibiotic that's used to treat various types of infections. But what type of doctor did you see for it? It's incorrect to assume that such a thing would have any effect on your eyesight, if it occurs again, because not all such afflictions do. Did they mention what caused it? ## Yesterday I went out of town and couldn't go to the washroom and couldn't drink water for 8 hours; and today this morning I'm experiencing a burning sensa...

Is there an over the counter eye drop that starts with T? ## Based on my research, I only came across two brands that started with a T. I can't say however, if these are the only one's on the market that begin with this letter: -"Tears" Naturale Free Lubricant Eye Drops, 60 Single-Use Vials -"TheraTears" Lubricant Eye Drops, Single-Use Containers TheraTears appears to be a common brand here in the U.S.; so I think it's a good match. Was there anything in particular that was special about this brand of eye drops you're looking for? ## I feels pain in eyeballs with tears. Eyes got reddish and iching. I spend lot of time in computer work. ## Anyone ever heard of eye drops with these names - Luzazone or Visiusmidriatic? I can't get the names right, but I ...

eye drops ## Is it possible for rastasis eye drops to cause the blood to thin so that clotting is difficult. My husband has been using these drops for about a week and a cut on his hand was still bleeding profusely the next morning. This is very uncommon for him and rastasis is the only new medication he is using. ## Restasis is listed as containing Cyclosporine, it is used in drop form to treat chronic dry eye. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including irritation, redness, burning, and eye irritation, and yes, it has also been reported to cause bleeding and clotting disorders in some patients. How is he doing, now? Has there been any change?

My friend's daughter suffered from Bell's Palsy ten days ago and a neurologist advised to use Chymoral Forte along with the other medicines like wysolone, becosules and soframycin eye drops. Now the clarification I need is what is the drug that we find in Chymoral forte and how it works on the patient and will there be any side-effects. further she has an infant of eight moths old and can that infant take the milk from mother. what is the drug in chymoral forte and how it works on a patient of Bell's Palsy? ## Hello, Based on my research, Chymoral Forte is a prescription drug from India which contains the proteolytic enzymes: Trypsin and Chymotrypsin. It is indicated for the treatment of soft tissue inflammation and trauma to the eye. From what I can gather, proteolytic enzy...

I have pink eye. Can I use terramicina in my eye as a salve, or just around the eye? ## I think it really depends on whether or not you have the ointment, powder or the eye drops. There should be instructions on the package, no? That's just wrong if there isn't, as from what I can tell it can be used to treat pink eye. Based on information i've gathered, the application guidelines are simple. Listed below are the indications for the ointment: "Broad-spectrum antibiotic ideal for mild bacterial eye infections Easy to use - simply apply ointment directly on the affected area" I'm assuming that the eye drops are no different other than actually dropping it into your eye. Here is an information link to the powdered form of this medication as well (it states: puff pow...

I'm accidentally put tetrahydrozoline in my ear & now I'm experiencing some nausea. Should I be concerned and are there any other symptoms I should be on the look out for? Also, my intention was to use ear wax removing solution, is it okay to attempt to loosen the cerumen in my ear or should I wait awhile? ## Hello, Jkidd! How are you? No, generally eye drops in your ear aren't a concern, though you may experience the nausea, as you have, due to the fluid in the ear. You should also make sure that it drains out, before trying to use anything else. It's always best to double check with your doctor, but I doubt you have anything to worry about here. If you put ear drops in your eye, that would be a concern, because ear drops aren't sterile, like eye drops. Is there...

can i drink alcohol while i'm on my 5 day course of betamox 500mg ## Hello, Thabo! How are you? It is generally advised that you not drink alcohol while taking any prescription medication. It can cause severe worsening of the side effects, so you may experience a lot more nausea, dizziness and drowsiness than usual, as listed by the FDA. However, if your doctor okays it for you to have a couple drinks, then please make sure that you will not be driving or operating any dangerous machinery. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have tonsils can I take betamox ## Hi. an awful sinus arised after i had som eye drops.now my throat is paining and the sinus has blocked my nose, will allegex help me? ## Hello, John! How are you? This medication will only help, if your symptoms are due to an allergic reaction. The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects of antihistamines as possibly including dizziness, headache and dry mouth. If they are due to side effects from the eye drops, then the antihistamine will not likely help. What eye drops did you use? Perhaps I can research the side effects for you.

naturopathic help for E.D. ## any health concerns ## I am maybe half-way through my order of the product. There will be no repeat business. I've also tried a couple of similar products, the names of which I cannot remember -- one of them was a muddy liquid in small glass bottles that included a delivery mechanism resembling what you would use to put eye drops into your eye. The hype was empty for me. Thunderous erections is bull crap. I'll no more be sucked into spending this kind of money on these useless natural remedies, for it seems that only substances like Viagra and Cialis and their imitators does the job. Absolutely no recommendations from me! ## PROVI-GROW from Micro Nutra is also completely inefective for me. I took the tablets excactly as suggested but no response and...

I accidentally put systane eye drops n my nose thinking it was my saline, is this dangerous? Should I go to doctor? ## Hello, Cindy! How are you? It would actually be more risky the other way around, since nasal drops are not sterile like eye drops. Since these are just lubricating drops, there's likely nothing to worry about, but you may experience runny nose and some nasal irritation, as reported by the FDA. Did you experience any adverse effects? When in doubt, it's always best to check with your doctor, your nearest urgent care or call poison control.

I'll be having cataract surgery soon. Is there a natural eye drop that would act the same as the ridiculously overpriced prescription one? It's an antibiotic. And there are 2 others that are prescribed for inflammation I think....all totally 400+ dollars in the US. Thanks so much! ## Hello, Anna! How are you? No, there is nothing over the counter that would be the same. However, you could explain the expense to your doctor and ask them about possibly prescribing cheaper alternatives. The FDA lists the typical side effects of most eye drops used after such surgery as possibly including eye burning, stinging, redness and tearing. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you. The expense is one thing more on principal, really...gouging comes to mind. However, I'm not on...
